We were looking for somewhere to sit and have drinks with family before they waved us off on our journey back home. We decided to give the coffee places on Level 2 a miss and found this lovely place.
It is a 'Wetherspoons' pub which is a chain of pub/restaurants which has a good reputation for quality & price. It has several tables where you can have a meal or there are some very comfortable armchairs on the other side. The decor was really lovely and very classy. We ordered coffees, hot chocolate, draft beers and cranberry juice, plus a club sandwich with fries. All the drinks we ordered were perfect and the juice had plenty of ice in it. The filling in the club sandwich was very tasty and they used poppyseed bread which made it even better. It was served with a small bowl of fries which were very hot and crunchy. The bill was very resonable for what we had. The guy at the bar who took our order was extremely helpful, he gave a very high level of customer service. We felt very relaxed in this place compared to the experience a few weeks ago in one of the coffee places at the airport where we had to constantly try to get the attention of the staff to find out where our order was.
