“All that is reasonable to ask in an airport hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2008

Simple, clean, adequate and quiet.
Even an iron and ironing board.
Renovation seems to be continuous.
A good on site restaurant.
Spotting the car entrance when driving out of London requires alertness.
Could not ask for better when passing through LHR.
And at good price.
Heathrow is a large airport. Be sure to allow adequate time for transfers, security etc.

For an overnight prior to or after a flight, this is an adequate and relatively convenient stop. We arrived late and left too early to sample the breakfast, but previous experience told us that it is adequate if not extraordinary. The Bath Road Premier Inn is very large, but the rooms are well-soundproofed and everything works.

Airport hotels can be of variable quality. I have stayed at numerous ones at Heathrow and would say that if all you are simply looking for a clean and comfrtable place to stay before or after flying, then I would pick the Premier Inn Bath Road everytime.

Distinctive points:

1 - Price - very good value - I think 85GBP for a walk up rate, which at Heathrow is excellent

2 - Cleanliness - Excellent

3 - Its got lots of rooms, so availability is generally not an issue

4 - There is a Costa Coffee on site open 24 hours in the Lobby - so you can always get a cup of tea / coffee no matter what time your flight arrives / departs.

The parking charge is 8GBP a night for staying at the hotel, which is reasonable given the location (other hotels charge much more).

The only reason I would now stay elsewhere is if I need to have business meetings in a more formal setting / restaurant whilst I am staying at the hotel or am staying for a couple of nights and what a bit more luxury.

So, book it up, its far better than many others at Heathrow which can charge upto double the price (specifically mentioning the Renaissance and Sheraton Skyline).

We booked an overnighter at this hotel prior to flying out of Heathrow. Most reviews on trip advisor were positive but there was one that spoke of cockroaches which did worry me a bit.
I am really pleased to say that any fears I had were unfounded.
The hotel was everything I needed it to be, clean, efficient and the food was good. What's more I saved the £4 each way on the Hoppa by travelling with the public bus service, which runs from the Central Bus Station at Heathrow - number 105 or 111. The bus stops just across the road from the hotel, and right outside the hotel for the return journey to the airport. Cost £2 each way or free for over 60's with a bus pass. (Make sure you don't confuse this hotel with the other Premier Inn near the M4 junction.)

With the U.S. Dollar being so weak in the U.K., it's hard to find any "bargain" hotels near Heathrow during the weekdays. This hotel had one of the lowest rates I could find for a Tuesday night.. That being said, it was clean and is fine for one night if you come in late or leave on a early flight.. A couple of things I would like to mention though. I did find the restaurant prices to be a little high and the service is a bit slow. The food was just average. There is a menu to order from along with a buffet. There is also a bar at the hotel. There are computers for use, but you must pay to use them. Also, one of the elevators was broken during my stay. I could not get the heater to work in my room and it was a bit cold that night. Even with a few minor issues, I found the room to be a very nice size and was modern and quite comfortable. My room actually had an extra twin bed in it. The toiletries (soap, shampoo) are from dispensers. I do not recall seeing a hairdryer in the room. Luckily, I had one with me. One good thing to note is that this hotel is a lot cheaper during the weekends. Also, the Hoppa Bus is convenient to use for the airport. It stops in the back and costs 4 Pounds. If I had an early flight, I would stay at this hotel again. Also, keep in mind, this hotel is very close to the airport and planes do fly over it until around 11:00 p.m. or so.

But probably the best value at Heathrow, particularly if you get the weekend rate. Considering it's no more expensive than the Ibis (!) and less than the poky Ariel (Holiday Express) the rooms and facilities here are a definite cut above.

That said it IS a budget property so don't expect Hilton/Marriott services and you'll be OK. Lots of children running amok in the lobby (there's a play area) if that bothers some of you and the bar is far too small for the number of people using it.

Restaurant OK, but a bit pricy for the quality. I doubt there's any better value nearby though.

As a bed before or after a flight, this is the best and cheapest alternative. Wouldn't want to vacation here unless you're a plane-spotter; in which case you'd probably love the place.

This Hotel had a good review on Orbitz, but it was pretty shabby and old. Bad plumbing, half broken noisy air conditioner/ heater. Clean, but very worn
