“Almost as grim as other reviews suggest”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

I booked a room to catch a few hours sleep before an early flight rather than having a long and very early drive to Heathrow. Top tip is to not use your GPS, go to Heston services direct on the M4, my GPS sent me around the houses like others. The hotel is very tired and needed a good clean. My toilet leaked and the loo roll holder was hanging off. The TV was fairly modern but had dirty streaks on the screen. Parking is free but ensure you register your car at reception. The bed was comfortable enough and sheets clean. I suppose for 19 quid you don't expect very much but I won't be stopping again.

This travelodge is in serious need for a total refurbisgnment. Everything about it is old, broken and dirty. There were not even any hangers in the closet and I had to ask a staff member who then took some from another guest's room...

The sofa is so uncomfortable it is painful to sit on, the drapes were hanging off the rail and I had to clip them back on, the television is of the old (very old) style and tiny, the window cactches were broken, the carpet was fifthy and the bathroom was grubby. The room is very dim at night and one light was not working.

On the plus side, it is adjacent to a motorway service station so you can get Burger King and buy other snacks quite easily although at motorway prices. Also, parking is free and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Select an upper floor room if you possibly can as on the lower floor who can hear every sound a gues...

This place is a nightmare to find, being forced to drive through less than salubrious areas! The reception was very shabby and in need of a total refurbishment. Our room was even worse! Walls were badly marked and dirty, the carpet was badly stained with god knows what! And the sofa was filthy! The bathroom was sufficiently clean, but in need of a good scrub to remove mould. Mattress was well worn and in need of replacement. On the plus side sheets and towels were clean, and staff friendly. Please also beware that although we registered our car, two weeks later we received. £50 parking fine. Although it was immediately rescinded when we contacted them. Would I stay there again! NO DEFINITELY NOT!

Very basic, poor condition overall. Needs updating as now feels left behind by other groups.BUT
if you need a cheap basic room for overnight stay to fly out of Heathrow early next morning to avoid driving then if you get this room as a double for two persons at max £36 per room per night then this location is very good. It serves a purpose.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room. We had 115 and was ok but very basic

I sometimes have to use this Travelodge for business travel and have always found my stays to be restful and peaceful. Booking several months in advance is quite practical as one can save several pounds. The property is on the M4 (highway) and is not really practical for anything more than a journey stopover. However, a short walk away into the surrounding neighborhood there are local shops where you can buy food and drink if you wish.

This Travelodge has seen better days in terms of decor but at the very cheap rate that I paid by paying and booking early one cannot fault it.

I have stayed here several times and I recommend it even if you want to head back into London the next day

After reading all the reviews on here after booking my four night stay, I was apprehensive about it to say the least, but after my stay I can say I do not understand what all the fuss was about! I mean £19 pounds a night and it was nice and clean, warm and cosy....sure it didn't have loads of amenities but what did these people expect for 19 pounds a night in London?.

As like most Travelodges, this hotel is simply somewhere to get your head down for a few hours. The hotel is looking very dated, badly in need of a refurb, both the rooms and corridors are quite grubby and unclean. At £19 however you don't expect much. The room was in a right old state, even for a Travelodge. The bedsheets had massive dark stains on them, cups still dirty and clearly unwashed. The TV was cracked and with only one curtain, you wonder what had happened in the room previously! The bathroom was also quite poor with a few large holes in the bathtub and the showerhead bent inwards...

If you are looking for somewhere to sleep in relative comfort them DON'T come here.
