“Remodeled?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Very small room, Air Conditioning was not very cold. We checked in very late, room service was only cold items available. They were extremely overpriced and very gross. The room was very expensive for an airport Hotel and a 30 minute walk from terminal 2. I would rethink ever staying at this hotel again!

Once you arrive at the hotel everything works really weel. The staff are friendly, efficent and effective. Check-in was a breeze.
The room (102) was on the ground floor, just around the corner from the main entrance and bars etc, so I feared the worst. However, it was extremely quiet - I couldn;t hear any noise at all from the bar or restaurants once I turned into the main corridor outside the room. Amazing soundproofing. The room was modern, clean and fairly spacious with a decent bathroom and excellent shower. I'd guess that there had been some recent refurbishment.
The bedroom window looked out on the taxi rank, so not ideal unless you liked being gawped by the drivers while they wait for fares. Minor issue though.
As mentioned - the room was extraordinarily quiet, given the airport location and only 30 feet from the front vehicle entrance.
Food in the hotel was excellent - I recommend the Chinese restaurant. It's a little expensive, but great food and fine staff. Breakfast was great - well prepared and presented and agin the staff were great. The aircon seemed to be set to max for some reason so it was a bit cold (at least for me).
Getting there is fairly strightforward. It's a 5 minute walk from T4 undercover except for the last 10 yards to the hotel entrance.
There's a good choice to get to the terminals. Free train or the hotel shuttle - not free. Finally, there are red buses (490 and 482) that will take you from T4 to T5 for free. Quicker than taking the train via T1/2/3 but a bit more awkward if you've a lot of luggage.
It took me about 25 minutes to get from the hotel to T1/2/3, but I did have to wait 15 minutes for a train (just missed one).
Staying here again in a couple of weeks.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in October 2014 and was very impressed, staff were great, good service and very helpful. Room was good and breakfast was fantastic and I was all set to give a top score of 5/5 except for the nasty little surprise I got at check-out. My mobile phone had run out of credit so used the room phone and was presented with a bill of 52.5 UK pounds for a single local call. What an outrageous mark-up on the normal land line costs. Be warned, if you do stay at this hotel do NOT use the room phone and you will have a pleasant stay.

This hotel has a wonderful staff, great restaurants, and comfortable rooms. I have never had any trouble with a room not being available for checkin, and most times I have stayed here, I arrived very early in the day. If by chance a room isn't ready, the executive lounge is a very comfortable place to wait with light snacks and drinks available.

Room Tip: I have stayed on different floors, different wings of the hotel, and inside or outside facing rooms...

Great hotel, great staff exactly what you need before an early morning flight the next day. Conveniently located for Terminal 4 which in turn provides easy access to the other terminals and London. Access from the road is also very easy with a good car park which guests enjoy a cheaper rate

This is a full service hotel that can be conveniently access by a long covered walkway from the terminal building itself. The sound insulation is remarkable given that location with aircraft virtually inaudible in my room despite it overlooking a runway. The wireless internet in meeting rooms was intermittent, requiring continued relog-in

Friendly welcome at the desk, porter on hand to take bags up to room, easy parking for the week that we were away. Rooms, in my opinion, have a slightly claustrophobic feel especially as ours overlooked the inside of the hotel down to the desk and over to the restaurants with the feeling that you were overlooked if you didn't close the curtains!
Bed was comfortable, mini bar well stocked but didn't use. Everything else was also comfortable.
Hotel is perfectly placed for T4 and for just a little extra on top of local parking rates provided a great start to our holiday
