“Well Done”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

Booked a room on line and was very cheap for a family four. The kids bed had been done before we checked in and had enough bedding including towels.

Room was spotless and with a good runway view. The kids enjoyed it.

Had breakfast and kids eat free and dinner was also decent.

The staff are very polite and will go all the way to make your staff as comfortable as possible.

Will definately come back

stayed here for a weekend with my husband. Thought being near Heathrow flight path it may be noisy, we hardly hard the flights it was only when you were outside the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable like you would expect from a travel lodge. We could not open the window to our room I do think this had something to do with the noise being blocked. The staff were welcoming too. We would stay here again.

Stayed overnight. Room fine, quite basic but comfortable and clean (apart from the old chewing gum on the headboard!) and sufficient for a night's stay. Very surprised at how quiet it was - no aircraft noise at all, although planes are coming in the land very low directly overhead. Breakfast was sufficient and was quite freshly cooked - hadn't been sitting under warmers for ages. Had an evening meal - the burgers were good, but one of our party was sorely disappointed with the fish and chips - no nice crispy batter and very small fish portion for the price. Also all evening meals were served on a plate with what looked like greaseproof paper under the food - very odd! The staff were all very friendly, helpful and courteous which made a huge difference. I would use this Travelodge again and would recommend it for reasonably-priced overnight accommodation if flying in/out of Heathrow. Payable parking was as expected and plenty of spaces available.

This was the second time that we had stayed at this hotel.
Pros: Close to motorways, restaurants nearby, service wonderful and beds are very comfortable especially for back sufferers.
Cons: Still trying to remember!!!

First class experience at very good value rate inclusive of breakfast for the family.

Staff were excellent and I really couldn't fault the experience.

Breakfast was ample for a family of four with a nice selection.

Room was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean & comfortable.

Well done Travelodge.

Can always guarantee booking a disability room at the Travel Lodge will cater for my 81 year old mother with walking difficulties, however this time the shower head was very mouldy, with a very dirty area around the toilet and the rails around the shower really horrid with mould, these things could easily be rectified with the right amount of cleaning. The cooked breakfast for £7 plus was horrid! Overcooked sausages, cheap greasy bacon with tomato's that definitely needed to be left under the grill for another ten minutes! As we had a accesable room we were near the lift and the access door to the corridor everytime someone on the corridor entered the door slammed shut and maid a loud bang! Which kept us awake, I must say that the Reception Staff were the most friendly, helpful that I have ever known for a Travelodge.

Room Tip: Aircraft fly so close that you can see the passengers! However, its very well insulated.

Negatives:

- Heating/Air conditioning did not work properly (Seemed to only be providing cold air even though it was set on 35 degrees, apparently the highest temperature).
- Shower curtain did not reach the floor of the shower and therefore the floor became immersed in water every time the shower was used.
- Fixtures and decor were shabby and old, examples: Handle of shower temperature control was broken, toilet flush was covered in cracks, window was locked shut, plastered holes in wall that had not been painted over.

In addition this was the second room we were allocated as we asked to be moved from the first due to it not having a mirror, and the television was faulty.
Furthermore, my partner and I were pestered by another guest in the hotel reception who was extremely drunk and the hotel staff did nothing to get him to leave us alone.

Positives:
- Convenient location for the airport
- Comfortable beds
- Reasonably priced (however you get the bare minimum)
- Staff were friendly
