We stayed at this hotel on the return from a holiday. Our plane didn't land until nearly 10.00pm and we had decided to stay overnight and then make the nearly four hour drive home the next day, in daylight. I must say that we were not really looking forward to our night at this travelodge as, after the wonderful holiday we had, we rather thought that it would spoil things. But, we were so wrong. Yes, it is a budget hotel and the rooms are not large but they contain everything you would need -en-suite shower, tea and coffee-making, and adequate space for suitcases - and the bed was roomy and comfortable. But, absolute heaven was that the room was very quiet, almost sound-proofed! In fact, it came as a huge surprise when, next morning, we went out to the car and saw a plane flying very low and right over our heads - at this point the noise was deafening!
Reception was good and check-in was prompt and efficient. The staff were very helpful when I phoned when we got home to say that I thought I had left something in our room - I hadn't (!) but they even dealt with this courteously when I phoned later (and after they had searched the room!) to let them know!
And all this for £18, plus one day's parking - 24 hours is the minimum - total just over £25!
All-in-all, we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to overnight at Heathrow, either before or after a trip.
Points to consider:
Obviously, take advantage of any travelodge deals.
There is a Hotel Hoppa bus service to the airport (which we didn't use) which costs £4 each way.
We used Purple Parking for the duration of our trip and this is about a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel.
