Probably my favourite Travelodge - FAR better than Travelodge Terminal 5, which is awful - this one, where I have stayed on several occasions - is very quiet and relatively comfortable. With the amazing offers Travelodge often do, I can't really criticize it. The windows are double glazed with a large gap - you therefore can't hear traffic - or indeed, the aircraft which fly almost directly over it every three minutes when a certain runway is in use. I had a bath-with-shower, which was great. No amenities apart from a tiny bar of soap, so be sure to bring your own! There is a kettle with tea/coffee provided though. Air conditioning worked very well.
Parking is not particularly secure, it's £7.50/day, although there is CCTV around - however, I risked parking in nearby roads and all was fine.
Staff helpful - and the bar & restaurant staff were all absolutely lovely. Quick automated check in that drops out your room key from the machine. The restaurant meal offerings were great and offered great value, e.g, good old chicken tikka masala, served with rice and naan bread, with a glass of wine thrown in for ten quid!
For a quiet, extremely good value stay at LHR, you can't beat this place certainly on rock bottom price.
Avoid rooms near the lifts as there is a heavy fire door by them, which is only openable by room Key...
