“Didn't we have a lovely time ......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

So you've got a mid-week day off from work, the suns shining and heck, no house ever fell down because it needed dusting so what's a girl to do?? Answer - put hubby, dog and one normally housebound dad in the car and head for the sea. Had this beach recommended by a workmate as being good for dogs so off we went to find it. What a little gem!!

Long flat beach, easily accessible for me and the dog while dad and hubby sit in the car with a cup of tea from the burger van. No noisy amusements, no traffic, not many people about, WONDERFUL. ( If this is recharging your batteries I must be like the Duracell bunny by now!!) Toilets nearby and very reasonable parking charges, can safely say we will return SOON.

“Lovely beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Cheap parking only £2.50 all day. Handy little van selling snacks/drinks ice creams etc and free toilets close by. Beach is lovely and you can walk all the way along to Bridlington if you want to.

“Great dog walking beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

This beach is long and wide, flat and excellent for walking dogs. There are often wind surfers around other beach sports. You'll need to approach via a farm (just follow the signs from the bridlington road) and there is a reasonable charge of about £2 to park on the farm owned land. You'll then need to scramble a bit down the low muddy cliff to get to the beach, so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or pushchairs etc. You can walk all the way to Bridlington if you wish and dogs usually enjoy the water. The other good thing we find is the relative lack of costly distractions. There is a van selling ice creams etc, but otherwise, that's it, so the kids can't bother you to part with too much cash for seaside tat.

“Day on a beach with nothing but an ice cream van”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Cliff top parking, on farmer's land, very good value (£2.50 for the day) . Benefit of the sea side at it's simple best. We liked the fact that there are no artificial attractions, but there are some toilets handy. Otherwise, its just you, the sand and the sea. But you can drive close up and park your car to enjoy it.
