“An absolute delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

I went for some fish and chips and was greeted by a great bunch of young workers who were enthusiastic and made me feel welcome on a cold wintery day. They were very responsive and the food was fresh and quickly served. The fish had beautiful light batter and chips were local sourced Cheshire pipers. The bread was soft and fresh and the tea was served in a pot rather then standard mug. They had a decent range of deserts from apple pies to chocolate puddings. Price was around £7.00. Open from 11:30-2 and around 5-around half 9 most days. Would definitely return. Worth while taking a look.

“Excellent Value/quality Fish n Chips.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

At approx £6.20 for Fish chips, mushy peas and bread and butter and tea/coffee great value meal very good sized portion. Very tasty Haddock best We have all had for some time.
service was nothing special but OK.
down side was the owners seem very confused as to what they are doing here - they provide a fork and fish knife to eat fish in batter should be standard knifes and when the waitress asked us everything OK we told her would be better with knifes and she said we have them if we prefer them! should ask this at the start or give them at the start with the option of fish knife if required.

Bread and butter was cheap thick sliced brown bread and Marge - come on folks get it right - white bread and real butter and standard knifes, bigger plates , wedge of lemon on the fish and you have nailed it!
still one of the best fish n chip meals with great value would recommend and return.
only open until 2pm then re-open around 5pm - good car park right outside.
