Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Heaton Chapel. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Stockport’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

Have never had a bad meal here, the food is always plentiful, good quality and served by attentive staff. Great value for money with ample car parking too

“gone down the nick.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

We have been dining here every couple of weeks for quite a few years, and have seen standards get progressively worse. In general except for the gravies, which are awful. the meats are acceptable and the veg variable in quality. We like to dine about 19.30 hrs. or so. At this time the servery sometimes looks like the inside of a pigsty. Some time ago, the servery used to close for a few minutes for cleaning around sevenish. This was with a previous restaurant manager. The current one seems completely oblivious to the mess around the vegetable dishes, whilst always finding time to go out for a fag.

“Not happy this time”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

Me my partner and two children go here regularly. We went on 27th may which was a bank holiday. £8.99 per adult carvery. My partner hardly got any meat, he chose one of each four meats and got a child size portion. In his words "where's my meat with all this veg". I couldn't stay in there long. It was too hot, no open windows, I'm 8 months pregnant and had to stand outside. Also we asked for an extra plate which took 5 minutes. Not going there again. The old rectory is more value for money and better food. Over £30 it cost in Toby.

“Reasonable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Visited for lunch carvery @ £5.99, nice greeting, the staff were pleasant and helpful taking an immediate bar order, which was on our table by the time we had been to the carvery.
The carvery itself was fairly good quality with a good selection of veg etc and the biggest yorkshire puds ever.
The only thing that let it down was the very small portion of meats provided, you could have all 4 meats if you wished but if you did there was barely a mouthfull of each. i would personally prefer to pay a bit more and get a decent portion.
As someone else has said, it is very hot in the restaurant area.
I would go again for a quick lunch, but it is not the place for an evening dinner outing.
