“Fayre & Square a bit ropey”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

I have been to a couple of Fayre & Squares in recent times, Handforth and Macclesfield spring to mind, but this one is by far the least salubrious. The prepossessing exterior of the old rectory building belies what is in actual fact a bit of a mess inside. I found the food very average and my fish bucket failed to live up to expectations. There was nothing particular bad about it; it was just unremarkable.

I felt the ambiance was a little on the rough side, and indeed a slight 'atmosphere' seemed to permeate the dining space. If you're staying at the Premier Inn Stockport Central then you're best off visiting Rozafa Greek restaurant just down the road, if that kind of thing floats your boat, which is excellent.

“Value for money food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2012

For portion size and quality the 2 for £10 meals are excellent value.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice as you are effectively sitting in a large conservatory.
Despite being very busy at lunchtime we didn't have to wait long for our food.

“The two meals for £10 is fantastic value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2012

There is a perennial offer for 2 meals for £10. The Food has always been good and the service is friendly. For a lazy weekday when you do not feel like cooking, its a great place to go. :)

“Very average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2012

Average food for these type of places mostly pre-made meals heated up/cooked on site, nothing too grand but for the money its about fair and service is hit and miss depending when you visit/to which staff are on or how busy they are.overall worth a try for the money.
