We enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunchtime meal a few weeks ago at Rayhoon. The restaurant is definitely family friendly - a plus when you have a toddler - and all the staff do their utmost to make your dining experience pleasurable.
The food is most definitely authentic Persian, and in fact is at least as good as that we have eaten at the home of some Iranian friends. There is a wide range of starters to tempt you, from aubergine to Persian omelette and potato salad, whilst the main courses cater well for lovers of lamb, chicken, fish and vegetarian.
Persian rice is something really special; flavoured with saffron, dill, berries, beans....there are plenty of choices to go with your main course.
Be sure to leave just a little space for dessert; baklawa (of course) or other similar desserts, all polished off with a pot of Persian tea. Meals don't get much better than this!
