Went to Damson for the first time last night with friends who have been a number of times and recommended it. We booked for Saturday night on the Thursday which meant it was heavily booked and we could only get a table for 6.15 pm which was very early, however, on the positive side we got the early bird menu which was extremely good value.. Two of us had the guinea fowl, which was really tasty and two had the duck which they said was excellent. The chocolate tart was wonderful. Wine was reasonably priced for a restaurant. The atmosphere is really nice and it is possible to have and hear a conversation (not always true of some of the other good restaurants in south Manchester). The seats are very comfortable, which is important. Overall an excellent meal in fantastic surroundings with helpful friendly staff (even after one of our party knocked over and broke a wine glass!). Thoroughly recommended but booking well in advance is advisable.
