“Always excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2011

Have been staying at this hotel over a number of years due to its locality for family visits. Every time we receive a warm welcome and very personal attention. The children feel like its home from home - we love the good sized family rooms and big breakfasts. The restaurant is easily accessible from the hotel, the rooms are soundproofed far better than other neighbouring hotels such a The Bower or Travelodge. Overall would fully recommend and will keep returning.

I only stayed here for one night to attend Take That but i dont feel it was worth the money paid. It cost £88 for the night without breakfast, i know there was a big event on in Manchester but that was a good 10-15 minutes drive away and i didnt feel it was close enough to hike up the prices but that much.

It took a while to check in even though there was no one else in the reception. The receptionist was on the phone for a good few minutes before even acknowledging the fact we were standing there. I think it was down to being over worked more than rudeness as she seemed to be co-ordinating the cleaning staff as well.

Our room was on the second floor, the first one you come to. I assumed this would mean a noisy stay but the main positive was i didnt really hear any noise at all. Our room was large but felt empty. Most of the furniture was closer to the door/bathroom and there was a big open space near the window. This is fine as you need places to put luggage etc but an armchair chair or something would have been nice. The room was clean but you could see about half an inch of dust and dirt round the desk where the vacuum obviously didnt quite get to.

When leaving we asked the receptionist the best way to get to the city of manchester stadium, she took the time to find it on google maps so her explanation would make sense which was nice. We got back late but our room key had a front door key attached, it was nice to come and go as you pleased.

We opted to pay extra for breakfast in the end. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. You could help yourself to a continental breakfast and all cooked items were made to order. Breakfast was tasty and there was a decent selection for the price.
Overall i probably would stay again if i wanted to attend another event in the area. However for purely leisure purposes i would opt for a better place as this is a definate no thrills hotel.

This one isn't one of the top PIs but perfectly good for passing through. Easy access to the city centre. Big rooms, clean and relatively quiet, some road noise in the rooms at the front. Good Beefeater for dinner and breakfast good too. No free WiFi or lift.

Recently stayed here under very difficult circumstances due to a family bereavement. Staff were so helpful and supportive - couldn't have asked for more.

Room was excellent for the price and so was the food - both for breakfast and dinner. Would definately stay at a Premier Inn again and recommend to friends

We stayed here whilst attending a family Wedding. In total 8 rooms were booked by family members. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were absolutely amazing for the price. Really comfy nights sleep and rooms were of a good size. The en-suite facilities were clean and tidy and there were plenty of towels. No need to bring your hair dryer, theres one on the wall. The breakfast next door in the White Gate Beefeater was amazing, loads of selection, both continental and full english. The staff were friendly and attentive. If you need to stay somewhere in the Oldham/Chadderton area then this is a must you would be hard pushed to find somewhere better!

Room Tip: Book early for room discount.

Stayed here midweek. Clean and tidy hotel, staff friendly always a hello and welcome as you walk through door. Beefeater next door is nice with good selection of food and drinks. Breakfast is excellent and good choice. Clean towells and linen in rooms and shower was good.

The bed wasnt that comfortable and being on the lower level i could here the room or landing above me quite loud but this didnt ruin our stay.
