“Good Hotel, Good Location, Good Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

This hotel is a good example of what a Premier Inn should be. A no fuss hotel in the centre of town. We stayed here for a local function in the Town Hall and it was ideally placed to access anything in the centre of Bury. The metrolink and bus station are also close by via the underpass which also leads to the shopping centre and market. Great value and a reasonable night's sleep for a good price.

Stayed for 3 nights with my mother (67), Niece (19) and daughters (13 & 8) fantastic, amazing location we didn't have to use the tube as it was so central we walked everywhere, so much choice on places to eat out and majority of the theatre's were on our doorstep. The staff were young but so helpful and polite nothing was too much trouble. Yes the rooms are small but compact and everything that you need for a short break, beds very comfy we were on the 6th floor and very quiet. The hotel ordered a taxi for us back to the station (St Pancras) which was £15, much better than using the tube at rush hour with cases. The icing on the cake for the girls was the Thor 2 premier at the Odean and seeing all the stars arrive, literally just outside the hotel.

Would definitely recommend, don't think the girls will stay anywhere else in London now!

A quirky modern building with a lovel warm feel to it. Excellent accomodation, attentive staff. Minor problem on the first night dealt with promptly & settled amicably in an extremely generous manner. Bedroom on 2nd floor overlooking the Metro initially caused concern but needn't have worried as they are the quietest trams I've ever experienced. Would/will go again.

Room Tip: Some rooms can be at the end of a long corridor.

I stayed here for 4 nights to meet up with friends. What a brilliant location so easy from Piccadilly Station then the tram to Bury and just a short walk through the underpass to the Premier Inn. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. I did have a problem with the air conditioning unit in my room but within a short time of reporting it the helpful receptionist moved me into another room as the maintenance staff had finished for the day. I had a meal in the Restaurant on the first evening and found the food to be excellent. I had also pre-ordered breakfast which was also of a good quality. I will certainly consider a return visit.

My first stay here & it wont be the last. This is a new(ish) Premier Hotel & its location cant be faulted if your travelling by Tram to the Interchange Station, its a case of going up the escalator, turning left along the Bus bays, left onto Haymarket St, then left again before the Traffic lights into a well lit Subway & your there.

The customer service was excellent & the lady on reception couldn't of done more to help. I had a room that overlooked the Tram tracks & noise is limited to a bare minimum which ensured i had an excellent kip. Also this Hotel has its own Bar/Restaurant built in, but doesn't have its own car park.

Room Tip: My Room, 103, was possibly the nearest Room from reception. Situated next to the stairwell on the 1s...

I stayed here at the end of October 2013, sharing a twin room with my son, & having stayed here before with my wife I can only say that it's not improved....but how can it? It's perfect!

It's quite a new hotel, & like all the Premier Inns I've stayed at it is very reasonably priced, clean, offers all you could want for a short stay, & the staff (whether up front on reception or the girls doing the bedrooms) are all very friendly - we had a nice line of banter with Janet on reception - she's a star!

The hotel is ideally situated just a couple of minutes from the bus/tram station (the trams run into the centre of Manchester several times an hour & it only takes about 30 minutes & costs just over £4 return) & is about 15 minutes walk from Gigg Lane, home of Bury FC (& temporary home of FC United of Manchester - until the summer of 2014 at least)

Bury has a good shopping scene, a large market on Saturdays (& some week days) & good night life at the weekends for the younger element

I can highly recommend this hotel

Stayed one night for a wedding reception in the town hall, which is conveniently close to the hotel.

Comfy bed, clean bathroom, lots of hot water. Not keen on fixed shower head, but good flow rate. Good-humoured staff on late bar considering we rammed it after function room in town hall closed at midnight.

Noticed some comments about rooms facing office windows - but if you're a light sleeper, ask for a room this side, as the other side overlooks the (clunkety-clunk) tram station approach.

Breakfast generous, god quality and well-cooked, but I really didn't appreciate the table being clened round me three times during the meal.
