My first experience of this restaurant was six years ago when we first moved to Redditch. We were hooked! However for various reasons we became less regular visitors to Redolence but have recently been back a couple of times, with friends (more about that later) and found that standards had, if anything, improved.
Other reviewers have mentioned the warm welcome, being made to feel special and excellent food and service and they are all correct. Service is very good here, you can chat to the chef about what you want to order and what is available and you do feel like a VIP and that nothing is too much trouble.
Some friends that we took there last week are what can only be described as fussy (in the nicest possible way!) and they love Redolence for the quality of the food and the service. Several members of the group were fish eaters and the chef really excels in cooking fish and seafood generally. The fish is always perfectly cooked and the seasoning and spices just right so that they don't overwhelm the flavour of the fish. I really can't praise that enough!
The restaurant is excellent value, we have never come out feeling as if we have been ripped off and have never found 'extras' added to the bill as you can do in some places.
There are several competitors in Redditch for the title of 'Best Restaurant' in the town but for my money, none of them can beat this place. Try it and see!
