“KIDDERMINSTER PREMIER INN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

If you are visiting Kidderminster this is a brilliant Premier Inn to stay in. Built within an old mill it really is a fabulous building. Situated by a retail park its great for any shopping. Staff very friendly and efficient. Area quiet even on a Saturday night. Family rooms very spacious, lovely big windows. Clean spacious and comfortable. Good service and enjoyable continental breakfast. We had a very enjoyable & comfortable stay. Worth trying.

Room Tip: Take a family room if available they are very spacious

An unusual hotel, on the top two floors of a former mill that used to make yarn for carpets. It's full of character and the staff are very warm, helpful and friendly. It has some unusual features, like having to insert your room card into a slot just inside your room door to switch on the power to your room. The heating is by warm air and is a touch noisy at night, it also means that the room is cold until the heating gets going.

Just returned from three nights at this Premier Inn. Couldn't fault anything. Staff are really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them, an example of how customer service should be. Room was clean and quiet. Location was good. Yes there is the parking charge during the day but we were aware of it when we booked and it wasn't an issue at all. I don't think you will be disappointed if you stay here.

This is a very good outpost of this particular empire. Once you get past the slight oddity of the location in a shopping mall in central Kidderminster, the characterful building (an old wharf warehouse/mill) and the good rooms make for a great example of budget hotel-keeping.

At least, it did on our case as we booked far enough ahead to get a £29 a night rate. The hotel has a pretty interesting fourth floor bar/breakfast area, so all-in-all a perfectly good space for a comfortable stay with all necessary mod-cons on site.

Unfortunately, if you then want to eat anywhere in walking distance, start thinking budget in that department too...Frankie and Benny, MacDonalds, etc. Kidderminster town centre is a short stroll through the walkways around the shopping arcade, but it seemed to offer no delights despite avid perusing of the I-Phone apps.

That aside (and it isn't Premier Inn's fault!) the hotel itself is a great find: a good jumping off point for Ludlow (40 minutes) or Shrewsbury and the West.

Oh, yes...staff - very very friendly indeed!

Warmest welcome I've ever had at a hotel, staff were really nice and so helpful.

I stayed here for 1 night while working away. The car park is private, which did confuse me prior to arriving, however its easily explained once you arrive. Basically from 18.30 to 08.30 its free, however any time bought can be carried over, so there is no need to rush in the morning.

I left early but the night before I asked if I could have a takeway veggie sausage sandwich, which was ready by 06.40! Great service.

The hotel has only been open since March 2012 and I found the room and shower to be more than adequate. The food in the restaurant was excellent value and once again the service was excellent.

I would like to return to explore the area and I would look to stay here again.

Never again going to stop there i need sleep no noise from loud guests. I would not recommend this place to any one if you love sleep

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed my stay as the location was within ten minutes drive of my early morning destination the next day. The location on a shopping park was a bit worrying but the parking was fine, not too expensive and the site was fairly quiet. Would stay again.

Room Tip: All rooms are off the ground floor and noise was not a problem. Parking was fine requiring a pound t...
