Owner description: Join us for the perfect family day out.... Take the 4-mile Drive-Through Safari and come face to face with some of the fastest, tallest and cutest animals around. Stick your tongue out at the majestic giraffes... Feed the cheeky ankole cattle... See the stunning Sumatran tigers... And whistle at a pack of dhole. Have a wander around the Discovery Trail visiting Mark O'Shea's Reptile World, Twilight Cave, Creepy Crawlies, SeaQuarium, Sea lion Theatre and Penguin Cove with its underwater viewing area. Don't miss our small exotic animals in our hands-on animal encounter, the sea lion show, the reptile talks or the penguin feeds. Amble around the African Village. See the cheeky meerkats and pet the African sheep and goats. Keep an eye out for our playful ring-tailed lemurs, small white-fronted brown lemurs, and fluffy red-bellied lemurs in Lemur Woods, the largest walk-through lemur wood in the UK.

“great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

We went there on the 19th of march 2013 as part of a National Holidays trip.We found the safari drive really good, it takes about an hour to drive around it with many different types of animals which our kids really enjoyed.
The rides within the park were very good for our kids which are 7 and 5.
My only advice would be bring your own food as the park kiosks are expencive and the food was not very good.
But all in all a very good park and will probably go back again.

“Fun for the whole family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

I been here several times with younger family members and with children from work and they have enjoyed it every time. The animals always seem happy and the rides are always enjoyed by the children. I would definitely recommend coming here for families!

“A Great Zoo - I would say seasonal visits are best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

I visited this Zoo and I did enjoy my time there. We was on a coach visit which was a little bit limited for me when we got close and personal to the animals. I think this would definitely be better in a car for the drive. I would go back to this Zoo however I would try to visit during the summer months were the animals are a bit more open and lively.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Very disappointed in our most recent visit to the park. A couple of years ago we had an amazing time. Now all the animals are behind fences or wires. They used to roam free which was much more exciting. The enclosures for some animals are small and seemed inadequate. They used to have giraffes coming close to the car but we only saw one and it was in a pen away from the road. Should call this a deer park as that's as much as you get to see! Rides are ok for young children but expensive. We have a free return ticket but won't be going back.
