“Excellent quality food lovely setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

We booked a table for 9 of us Xmas eve and we were all very impressed the food was lovely my vegetarian choice was tasty and the meat eaters amongst us were very happy with their hanger beef-cooked to perfection. The setting was very cosy with a good atmosphere. The service was spot on and we didn't ave to wait between courses for long even though we were quite a large party. We will definitely be eating here again in the near future nd would recommend to anybody who appreciates good food and service at a very reasonable price.

My partner and I stayed at the Royal Forester in Bewdley and I must say we had a wonderful time. We were only there for one night, but we decided to get their early on check in day to enjoy our hotel room and rest before a friend’s party that was being held in Cleobury.

We had lunch before we went upstairs, service was a little slow (I think this was due to a new starter who was on duty) but the delicious selection of rustic sandwiches certainly made up for this.

The hotel room was beautiful. The bed was very comfy indeed and the decor was modern. The bathroom was lovely and we were provided with plenty of towels and the shower and the bath was amazing - huge bath, loads of room and a fantastic power shower.

Breakfast in the morning was great, serving a great choice of English breakfast, salmon, eggs, cereals, fruits, juices - the choice was great and they the male member of staff serving breakfast was attentive and friendly.

We will be going back in January for sure! Peaceful, friendly, great value, lovely staff.

Stayed here several times and eat here regularly when staying with friends in the area. The rooms are very modern, clean and well appointed. The rates are reasonable (about £75 including breakfast) similar to the real price of a Premier Inn!
The wine list is small but good and not overpriced. The food is excellent - try the scallops and the fillet steak but its all good

We Stayed here one night with a couple of friends in November . The food on the Saturday night was really good and we had no complaints . However the room let the weekend down really. First impressions were "not bad for the money" but looking deeper you could see things had been done cheaply , no quality at all . There were no toiletries in the bathroom , the hanging rail was located over the kettle, towels were cheap. My husband was up in the night trying to repair the toilet which would not stop flushing and them the window which would not stop rattling! Not a good nights sleep at all snd when we told the girl the next morning her attitude was all wrong. No apologies just said there had been problems with the toilet before! We Won't be back...

I have stayed at the Royal Forester a few times now and everytime we receive fantastic treatment from Sean and his team. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are beautifully furnished with everything you need for a perfect overnight stay. The rooms are decorated to the highest of standards, each with their own unique theme and are both spacious and comfortable with lovely clean bathrooms.
The food in the restaurant is delicious whatever time of day and the staff are really warm and friendly.
I highly recommend The Royal Forester to anyone thinking of staying in the Worcestershire area.
we hope to be back next month.

Last weekend (October 12th) we held a private function for 100 guests to celebrate our wedding. It was fantastic. The whole Foresters team were friendly, polite and enthusiastic and really made our evening feel that extra bit special. The venue is really beautifully styled and offered a really nice chilled out, relaxed alternative to a formal hotel style wedding reception. We worked closely with the chef; Mark to create our own menu for our guests which was prepared and presented to the highest standards. The bedrooms were lovely, all individually themed with all the usual amenities. The nicest thing for us, was how many positive comments were fed back to us from our family and friends. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Idiosyncratically refurbished pub becomes stylish restaurant with high class food, exceptionally friendly service and quirky rooms. Our big group was thoroughly satisfied by our weekend at The Royal Forester. Congratulations to all concerned and thanks for a great time.
