“lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

i took a little trip to new brighton today as i havent been since i was young! Although not particually good weather i had a walk along the beach with my 3 year old daughter then decided that the floral pavillion was the place to eat. The staff in there were wonderfully polite and willing to go that extra mile. I also noticed that dogs were also alloud in on the downstairs floor untill miday, very rare for a food establishment however a lovely idea and as a dog owner i will not hesitate in coming again with my pooch.

“Perfect For A Sunday Afternoon Stroll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

Me & my girlfriend have been to the floral pavilion a couple of times for shows but not really been for the food or the coffee.
On an afternoon out in New Brighton with my son we decided to give the Floral Cafe a try.
I have got to say it was impressive, as we entered it was fairly busy but the staff seemed very aficient and got through the volume very well. There was plenty to choose from, from jackets, wraps, sandwhiches to a daytime lunch & specials menu. (may i recommend the chunky chips).
The view upstairs is amazing and it has a very nice atmosphere, we will definately come back, recommended for a lazy Sunday afternoon

“Simply not good enough”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

About a year ago we took a couple of relatives to the restaurant at the 'Floral' for a Sunday lunch. Unfortunately all did not go well with the meal as there was some sort of mix-up, although to be honest i don't recall exactly what. Suffice it to say although it didn't 'ruin' the meal it certainly detracted from the occasion. It was a few months before my wife and I had occasion to visit again, and although not ordering a full meal, yet again something was missing! later on in the year we again visited with our two grandchildren, this time served after a lengthy delay with almost cold chips. Today 3 Feb called in for just a snack, and ordered 2 coffees a slice of toast and a bacon 'butty' Coffees immediate, bacon butty 10ish minutes, toast ....... no sign, so questioned member of staff and apologies "overlooked" further 10 mins still not arrived!! Complained to duty manager and was refunded cost of toast, Excuse given: large number of trainees who are not as good as full time permanent staff. Well here's a tip guys ~ the clue is in the title ..... 'TRAINEE' they're supposed to be being trained, that is under supervision of 'trained' staff !! We won't give them another chance.

“Ok food but £££££££ expensive ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

The food was average (I mean I've had better from Asda) but what the cost of the food was HUGE I couldn't believe it. However the atmosphere and seating is good with nice views over New Brighton and the Irish Sea.

“Dreadful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

Went to the 'Nutcracker' 20/11/13 and chose to eat in the restaurant to avoid any last minute panic-NEVER AGAIN. Run of the mill tasteless food for a PREMIUM PRICE. 2 courses £15.95. Main course, braised beef, beautifully tender but tasteless with pureed mashed potato, a few cubes of roasted carrot and parsnip, 6 green beans and a suggestion of gravy and for dessert 3 small scoops of ice cream, looks beautiful on plate but bland merging into tasteless and so so expensive. I came with 3 other friends and we all left feeling totally ripped off and when the waitress took our order for coffee the next sentence out of her mouth was "and shall I bring the bill too", so yep, drink your coffee as you pay the bill and GO.
NEVER AGAIN.
