“Christmas Party 2012”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

We stayed there a part of a christmas party also being held here... we were not in the main house but in the annexes attached... the room was clean and comfortable ...my only complaint was the shower....it was very weak and the mixer would not sit at constant temperature ..either too hot or too cold ...the meal was nice and the building is a nice place ..all in all not half bad .....just need to modernise the shower ..it was really hard to shower in it

Room Tip: I would advise upgrading to the rooms in the main house

Upon arrival I was informed I'd been given a free room upgrade! The room was lovely with a huge four poster bed and en suite spa bath! The receptionist was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I was travelling with my 90 year old Nan, and she was given a lovely easy accessible room. Breakfast was gorgeous and the staff were very accommodating, supplying my nan with gluten free bread upon request. The only downside was I didn't receive my wake up call and even though the complimentary robes in the room had clearly been washed they had got stains in them, mainly mascara on the sleeve which was a little off putting.

Got £55 B&B deal on bookings.com.
Was definitely worth it.
Our room was in a separate building that was a barn conversion I believe. It was a strange design in that you entered the room onto a litlte platform before stepping down - quirky.
The room was big & comfortable.
My only gripe was the draft. I assume this relates to the windows - maybe they need to be double glazed?
We put the heating onto full & when we came back from dinner, the room was warm.
I mentioned this on the questionaire so they are aware of this.
We ate in the restaurant & both had a nice fish pies & good desserts. They promote a steak & wine night on Saturday nights which would be excellent value if you wanted steak & wine!
Everyone was very pleasant & the location is great - close to the M4 & Swindon.

Stayed one night for business- the room was spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. The service was excellent and the breakfast superb- freshly cooked including a perfect poached egg!Quaint and friendly. I would definately stay there again!

Stayed for 2 nights, food very good, service was exemplary in terms of friendliness efficiency and making sure you were happy. Very central to so many aces. Actually cheaper to Fri.kn in,the bar than the local pubs. Will be going back.

We have stayed at Marsh Farm 3 times and always had a pleasant experience. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Nice hot breakfasts in a conservatory style restaurant. We have not had dinner in the resataurant but have stayed at the hotel twice on a Saturday, when attending a sports event. On each occasion we have ordered sanwiches in advance for when we got back later in the evening. These were ready for us to eat in the bar with a drink when we arrived. A small detail but nevertheless, an important aspect of our stay. We will definitely stay at the hotel again and have recommended it to our friends.

We stayed here for a car club rally so there were quite a few of us staying at this hotel, we booked last minute but had quite a nice room

As the weather was dreadful on the Friday night the hotel did an indoor "barbeque" for our group which we enjoyed, but breakfast on Saturday was a bit disorganised with people queing for tables but we got served and the food was good, Sunday breakfast service was much better

We had a dinner on the Saturday evening for about 80 people which went down very well, the staff were attentive, food and service very good. All in all we really enjoyed our stay
