After a 3 hour journey we was happy to finally get here to have a freshen up and rest before we set off again to our final destination the following morning. I was in a hurry to get in our room as soon as possible as I needed to use the toilet after the long journey. We checked in, got to our room, I ran straight to the toilet, lifted the seat....oh no thats disgusting a nice number 2 floating in there!!!!!! I didn't have time to complain so I flushed 3 times and used the toilet. As I came out I find a pair of crusty socks left in the corner of the room. We complained and someone quickly came to clean the loo and take the old socks away. We then think well if that has been left what else hasn't been done. Beds really poorly made, sides just stuffed in if at all. Childs bed made up under window which had safety locks not put on (my daughter is just starting to climb everything and would have been easy for her to climb and fall out). So we got someone back in to put the safety locks on as you needed a key. we found squashed bug stains on walls and curtains, rips in both double and single bedding, the quilt cover was put on inside out?, no lock on bathroom door just a hole where one use to be, sideboard with cup ring marks and sticky to touch. I know Travelodge is budget but still cost £47, compared to similar priced or even cheaper rooms we have stayed in this was by far the worst, I still expect a room to be cleaned.
