We went to Hebden Bridge today purely by accident because we couldn't get parked in Haworth for the 40s weekend, how fortunate it turned out to be. We discovered this wonderful cafe. The cafe itself was a delight and the staff dressed in their 40s garb were friendly and efficient. My husband had Churchill Pie which we laughed at thinking of the size of Churchill we didn't know what to expect it came piping hot and a good sized portion, he thoroughly enjoyed it, I had the Hearty Mushroom Soup which came with a bread roll and lashings of butter served in a little pot instead of the usual little square served in most cafe's, the soup was home made and delicious. We then both had homemade cake and fresh cream my husband choosing the apricot and I had the humming bird cake, it was heavenly my only complaint is I couldn't eat it all but my husband soon polished it off. We both really enjoyed the whole experience of this wonderful cafe and I am certain it won't be long before we return !!!
