We went for a family meal Saturday night.. As a non-drinker I asked the waitress if they served Coke or Pepsi - she said ' it comes in bottles' .. (Not actually answering the question) . Later I queried the Chicken supreme on a bed of Paella rice.. I asked for confirmation that it did not include prawns (As I do not eat seafood) she said ' I wouldn't think so' again - this was not the answer I was looking for... Usually waitresses are aware of what is in the food - this one clearly had no idea....
my meal came after what I felt was too long a wait and I was extremely disappointed as there were several substantial hard stalks from herbs, which I would have thought would have been removed... The large mushrooms in the rice were leathery and extremely hard to chew... and to cap it all ... my chicken breast had a large bone in it.... (I appreciate this may be a french way of serving, but do not expect bones in chicken breast in a local pub) ... Throughout the meal (we were seated upstairs) we could hear the rowdy crowd from downstairs - which is not something you'd expect in a pub/restaurant)
I felt that many of the meals( and the choice was poor) were over-priced for what was in fact a local pub that served food. All in all my experience was poor and I can find absolutely nothing positive to say about the service, the food or the place ... and I would definitely not go back
If I could give less than one star for service I would
