what a disappointment .looking for somewhere to eat in Brighouse as visiting . food very pricey staff very snooty .food nice but not anything special. When we came in asked if booked table waiter said no problem sat us down took order then said you need to leave by 8 as need table ! This was 6 oclock.food took 32 to arrive so getting near our allowed time slot but the food was such small portions and not very hot so we had eaten and left by 7 .a lot of money for a below average meal

“Pretty average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2014

Went for meal as it was a family birthday. It was Saturday night and it was busy, with restaurant offering 7pm or 9pm sittings. The menu was a bit limited and really pricey for what you got. None of the main dishes came with sides and when the food arrived, although it was well cooked it certainly wasn't that outstanding to live up to the price tag. Wasn't that impressive, and quite disappointing. Won't be returning.

“Average food costing extortionate prices. Tacky entertainment.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

What a disappointment! Not been here for years but went at the beginning of Feb for a birthday celebration. The waiters were very pushy with drinks from the outset, yet I had to ask 4 times for a glass of water. I ordered lamb kleftiko thinking I'd relive many wonderful Greek holiday restaurant experiences. Not to be! What I got was a lamb shank. Basically a big lump of lamb for £14. What I then had to do was purchase the potatoes which at some point had probably been cooked with the lamb.(chef, please look up the recipe for lamb kleftiko!) at an extra cost of £2. I would have liked some other veg as an accompaniment but was by that time thinking that they were going to charge me for the oxygen I was breathing / hire of the chair etc so didn't bother. After the meal came the 'entertainment' , a 'dancer'. I'm sorry but I just don't want to relive it. Judging by how much we paid, I don't think they were entirely accurate with our bill either. Won't be back. Too many nice restaurants to choose from!

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

We called in on a whim on a Thursday night and the place was full. No table until 8.15 but that was no problem; we went for a drink across the road.
The table was for two in the middle of the restaurant which we were fine with but then when a better, bigger one came free, the waiter asked us if we wanted to move - a nice touch.
We went for the meat meze for two and it was terrific. Lots of fresh salad and dips and the chicken kebabs were to die for and the beef lovely and tender. Great value at £18.95 each.
Recommended.
