“Best beach hotel in Nicaragua”

The good people at Villa Mar were wonderful during our stay in November. First off, we got in at night, not realizing we would be greeted with an amazing view of the beach the next morning. (The same beach we later saw baby Sea Turtles on). The staff are amazingly attentive and helpful, and gave us good advice and some help with our Spanish! The food is great, and it's located on the best beach in the area. Thanks to the great family at Villa Mar our experience was very positive and I would recommend Villa Mar to anyone looking for a clean, beautiful and affordable stay in Nicaragua.

“Superb Service”

Good location, max couple of minutes walk to Marsella Beach. Family ran hotel, with Eric the nephew catering to English-speaking guests. My husband got a thorn in his foot while swimming, and Onedia the proprietor took great care of it. The food was good, and brekfast from a list was included on the room price. Rooms were alright and the view from the main balcony magnificent. You could pay for all the food and drinks at check-out too, and they accept all the major credit cards. Internet was decent there as well. Even Grandma was very warm and friendly, despite the language barrier. And if you go there, don't forget to say Hi to Paco the pet alligator!

Room Tip: Get earplugs. Local birds like to admire themselves on the mirrored windows at sunrise.

By far the greatest service I've ever had at a hotel. They work their butts off. Also, beautiful rooms, stunning balcony with an ocean view, great good. Awesome place
