“Unbelievable experience!!!! A yearly trip for us!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2009

We were married there in October, 2006 and have been back every year since. The rooms are wonderful, the service is superb, and Carolyn's recipes for breakfast are outstanding! All the little "extras" that are provided during the day make it just a wonderful getaway from reality! Walk the grounds and visit the animals, sit on the porches and rock in the swings. In November, 2008, it rained the entire weekend but we stayed inside, read, relaxed, and ate pastries and hot tea! A wonderful memory! Try it! You will make this a regular stop after one visit!

I wanted to move in here! Can't think about one thing to complain about. We stayed for 6 nights. I felt sorry for guests who stayed only one night. Do yourself a favor and book multiple nights to really experience all this Inn has to offer. The breakfasts are amazing. The rooms so comfortable and clean. The grounds are unbelievable. So many places to hang out and relax. At night, fireplaces. Always sweets around. I saw all the rooms and wouldn't have a problem staying in any of them. If you are an animal lover, walk up to the barn and enjoy the horses, cats, Illamas, donkey, and dogs. It was hard to leave this place. Everyone was so nice. If I'm even close to the area again, I will book a stay at Westwynd.

I suppose, in this lifetme, we can't possibly know all that Heaven holds for us, but Westwynd offers a sampling... a sliver... a glimpse... of what it might be.

Area attractions pale in comparison to the simple experience of spending a few hours of your life here in Hummelstown. If you're searching for serenity, if you need a healing place, or just a bit of friendship and blessing, make sure you visit Westwynd Farm Inn.

When you visit, make time in the evening, when lights are low, to enjoy the front porch swing, the sounds of the fountain and crickets... not to mention the cookies, chocolate cake and peachy cinnamony coffeecakes.

I promise you, you'll find yourself looking forward to rising every morning wondering just what gourmet breakfast Carolyn has prepared for you, and how nice it will be to see Merrilee again... she'll sprinkle your day with joy.

Go on... do it... make your reservation right now. You'll not regret it - ever.

We stayed in the Sea Gift room for one night in August. On arrival we were greeted by the Innkeeper Carolyn who showed us around the house letting us know what was available for us. The room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable and being on a farm was so quiet which was very nice.

Carolyn took the time to talk to us and also to recommend restuarants which was really helpful and one of the great things about good B&B's, the owners know best!.

The house always had a great smell of freshly baked cookies, muffins and other deserts that were left out for guests.

Breakfast was also a treat, the breakfast room is a magnificent space which is so bright and naturally lit. This was the frst time i'd had eggs blossom and they were cooked to perfection.

Westwynd farm would definately rate in my top 95% of B&B's stayed in. We just wish we had stayed longer.

Yea, have to agree ,this is a one of a kind place. The best place to stay if you want near the park or arena. Only 5 minutes away.
The thing that got me the most beside the clean rooms, good breakfast was the baked goods. There must of been 5 kinds of sweets like cookies, cakes, and pie(chocolate chip) on the table each day! And that is beside all the Hershey's candy around the place in dishes. You can tell Innkeeper and husband work hard at what they do.

My husband & I stayed here 3 times already - all in 2007. We tried to stay for our 1st anniversary, but couldn't get a room - so our first visit was in May. We loved it so much we went back again in September for our 2nd anniversary then again for New Year's Eve! We stayed in the same room every time "Fortune's Return". We met Carolyn & Frank twice & then Nadine & Bill once - both couples were amazing! Both very helpful & friendly. The breakfasts are so delicious - they get better every time. It is our home away from home - it is so peaceful & relaxing - I just love the porch, the rocking chairs & the horses. I sit on the porch outside our room w/ a glass of wine & a book & is it so quiet & relaxing - you just have to come to beleive it. I cannot wait to go back - we did plan on going back this year, but had to cancel our plans for Labor Day weekend - it was so hard to cancel - I was so upset. This is a must stay B&B - you will want to come back again & again.

  • Liked — Nice hosts, amazing breakfasts & very clean!
  • Disliked — Absolutely niothing!

This is one of the best B&B that we have ever stayed at! It is in the country, therefore a little bit of a drive, but that was one of the nice features after being around crowds. The rooms are spacious and clean, the treats were wonderful, and the grounds and barns made for a nice walk. The breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious, and it just felt like you were staying with relatives in their beautiful, recently renovated house. You just have to stay here to believe it!
