“Escape to serenity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

Our third visit to The Inn at Westwynd Farm, and it's beginning to feel like our home away from home. I can't think of a single thing to improve upon! From the house and property to our room, the breakfast, the barn and animals, and the hosts, it's all excellent - just the perfect place to get away. We were in Hershey for a hockey game (which was really just an excuse to stay at Westwynd), and only stayed one night this time. We arrived at the beginning of a snowstorm, and it couldn't have been more beautiful - so peaceful and quiet. The inn is lovely, warm, and inviting, with complimentary baked goods and beverages waiting for us. Jane, the delightful hostess for our visit, was baking the most delicious banana bread! We enjoyed the smell on checking in, and savored the taste at breakfast the next morning. The room (In Our Time), with it's two-person Jacuzzi, fireplace, private entrance on the patio by the pond was perfect - clean and attractive with big, thick towels in the bathroom and soft, luxurious sheets on the king-sized bed. I particularly love the bright, beautiful breakfast room, with its high ceiling, antiques, and walls of windows that provide a wonderful morning vista. After breakfast we walked thru the snow to visit the barn and its occupants - horses, donkeys, ponies, a couple of yellow labs, some very friendly cats, Paco and Taco the alpacas, and a goat. It's always a little sad to leave Westwynd Farm, but we do plan to return - many times, I hope.

What a pleasure to have you return to Westwynd. It is so much fun for us to pamper guests. Your lovely comments on all the details - from the serenity to the breakfasts, the animals and even the linens certainly put smiles on our faces. Thank you so much!

We just got home from spending a wonderful amazing weekend at The Inn at Westwynd Farm near Hershey, PA. We stayed in the Carriage House. First of all it is a Inn that has 10 master bedroom suites and just perfect for a romantic weekend for a couple in love. The Carriage house is a perfect house for the privacy we were looking for as it's a separate house from the main house and the view of the land from our private house, the horses grazing and the barn was like something you see on a postcard. The main house is so so warm and friendly and just the equivalent of heaven on earth when it comes to serenity and romance. Breakfast this morning was beyond delicious and the atmosphere alone made everything even more delicious. The staff was so friendly and helpful and Miss Jane is just wonderful as well as an excellent cook. At any time you walk in and the smell for the love of cooking and comfort is in the air. We decided that The Inn at Westwynd Farm, specifically the Carriage House, will become ‘our’ place where we can decompress and lose ourselves in each other. We hope to become regulars and I will be sure to tell others about it as much as I want to keep it a hidden treasure just for ourselves. Thank you for the best weekend I have even had in my life!

Best Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in more than a few. The breakfast was delicious! The place was gorgeous and clean and super cozy. We looked forward to the snacks. Jane was a lot of fun to talk to. The barn staff was so nice and let us walk around and see all the animals on the farm. We already booked our next trip and can not wait!

First time at a B&B, and now I'm not scared to try another. Room was spacious, well-thought out, and the house was beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, and they also offered complimentary beverages and baked goods every night. If I ever get a chance to go back that way, I would stay there again.

My husband and I took a week-long old school road trip in September. This B&B was our last stop and a pleasant addition to our Hershey area visit. Even though we were there at the end of the summer bloom, the flowers and grounds were still quite beautiful. The sprawling grounds of the horse farm and its quiet setting were a welcome retreat from the theme park craziness of Hershey. The hosts and the home itself couldn't have been more welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised about how many things were complimentary in order to make your stay more comfortable. (More B&B owners should take this tip from Carolyn & Frank!) The room was private, large and very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and delicious and we liked that you could choose a time to eat. We suggest that the room get a bit of a sprucing up - like painting the bathroom - and a deep clean. Don't get me wrong. The room and the inn were cleaner than some 5 star hotels we've stayed in. It's just starting to show its wear. We also had some loud fellow inn-goers who tended to hang out in the room above our suite quite a bit. But, that's not the fault of the innkeepers. This B&B ended up being one of our best decisions - in the area and on our multi-state road trip. We would stay here again and highly recommend it. Thanks for a great stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed here to celebrate our 7 year anniversary as a dating couple. From the moment we walked in the door, we were welcomed and greeted warmly. The room we had was gorgeous!! They offer so many complimentary things throughout the Inn! The large living areas are very comfortable and homey. The breakfasts were delicious and always ready for as when we got up in the morning. The sprawling farm was breath taking! The horses were so beautiful and well cared for. We were often joined on our walks by Pete, the yellow lab. He was very friendly and loved a good belly rub. The Inn is peaceful and quiet, yet close to many popular attractions. We LOVED every single second of our stay and are already planning our next visit!!

We're so very glad you enjoyed your time with on the farm with horses and other animals. Pete is one happy dog when people pay attention to him... and your very kind words certainly made our day.

The Inn at Westwynd Farm far exceeded my expectations. I have stayed at several B & B's and by far this is my favorite! Carolyn and Frank could not have been more friendly and accommodating and the common areas were beautiful!

Room Tip: Stayed if the Gift Room and it was quite but yet centrally located
