“two words- crab pretzels”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

I love this restaurant….I like the ambiance of the one in Lemoyne Dukes better, but the food is sooooo good. I cannot wait to return to the Harrisburg/Hershey area to go there again. Their infamous crab pretzels truly are amazing. Service was just okay…young waitress, not very attentive, but I would still return any time for the food.

“"You must be 25 or no service"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

Horrible service one of the rudest places I have ever been too. Was denied seating because we were not 25, but 23, and we were traveling with a minor. We never mentioned about drinking, she said that's the restaurant policy. We only wanted to sit in the restaurant or outside because it's nice out not the bar. Everyone in the group works for hotels, and we vow never to send anyone to that restaurant again. We were looking forward to trying it for the first time because we hear great things...guess we will never know.

I also plan to pass this story to every other hotel I know.

“Ok for a quick bite.”

We got into town late so not many places were open, luckily this was. Typical fare, burgers and fries etc.

“Worth a stop!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

A Trip to Hershey, PA, just isn't complete without a meal at Dukes Bar and Grill on Chocolate Avenue. We had two delicious meals there: a lunch and a dinner. I tried the PA sandwich: hot ham on a pretzel bun with honey mustard dressing. Also try the house special sausage sandwich. Next we tried the mushroom burger - a double patty on a pretzel bun; and the nachos - a very generous portion of food. The atmosphere is good, the restaurant is clean (the hostess was cleaning the menus), and the food delicious. Try it!

“1970's vibe”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

Food is average with lots of reliance on bread and mountains of fries to make a huge plate--as if size is the most important part of "eating out". Cooking is hit or miss, depending on who is in the kitchen. I've had excellent burgers/steaks here and over-cooked cool ones. This is a busy restaurant with an active local bar scene, late night can get kind of rough round the edges. I think this format, with big screens and blaring sound that you have to scream over is a bit old hat, but clearly, it's still a popular one in this area. Nothing special here, just diner food with higher than diner prices + alcohol. The fish taco was good, though.
