“Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

After looking at Yelp we decided to give this place a shot. I'm glad we did. We were looking for something other than amusement park food. We went for dinner two nights in a row since it was so good the first night. The location is very close to the park and the menu is expansive as well. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the food. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

“Breakfast was OK - Coffee needs improvement”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

As well as their omelettes (cheese and bacon & veggie) were terrible. The western omelette at the Food Court in Chocolate World was better. Our son's big pancake was very good. Maybe other items on the menu are good, but I wouldn't recommend their omelettes.

“Did not disappoint...Good Food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

We decided to try the Hershey Pantry based on reviews we had read here on Tripadvisor. We were going to be in town for the day at Hershey Park & thought we would stop at Hershey Pantry for dinner. We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night. The place is really tiny inside & it was packed. We only had to wait a few minutes for a table as some guests were leaving, so we felt lucky!

We were seated at a table within minutes & given menus. Our waitress was around to take our drink order right away. We all ordered plain water with lemon. After looking over the dinner menu, we decided on the coconut shrimp salad, coconut chicken and the crab cakes. The coconut chicken came with a house salad and the coconut shrimp salad came with a choice of bread (we chose chocolate bread).

Within about 10 minutes or so my salad was out to me. The salad that came with my chicken entrée was huge. It was very tasty. The greens were crisp and the balsamic vinaigrette dressing was delish. Within about another 10 minutes our entrees were being delivered to the table. Everything was presented well & looked delicious. In the end, everyone was happy with their entrée selection. We shared bites of our entrees so that we could ALL try them. The coconut shrimp were VERY good. I think I liked them better than the coconut chicken, but it was still good. I just wish the chicken was served with some kind of sweet dipping sauce or fresh fruit relish, like a pineapple-mango sauce/relish. My husband loved his crab cakes. He said they were very good. He said they were full of crab meat with little fillers. The crab cakes & coconut chicken were also served with parmesan potatoes, which we found to be delicious. The chocolate bread that came with the shrimp dish was also very good. It tasted like a chocolate cake brownie. Overall, we were very happy with our food.

After dinner, we opted to get dessert to go. We selected a slice of their peach filled white cake, Bailey's Irish cream pie & Oreo cake. We shared our desserts so that we could all try them. The slice of Oreo cake was huge...large enough for 2 to share. It was pretty good, but a little sweet. The icing tasted like Oreo cream filling. The peach filled white cake was very good. It was light, but tasty. The peaches were delish. It was probably my favorite. Everyone who tried the Bailey's Irish cream pie loved it. They RAVED about it!!

Overall, we had a good dining experience with Hershey Pantry. We are glad we chose to eat there rather than some fast food place OR inside Hershey Park. The service was not FAST, but it was terribly slow. We were there a little over an hour for our dinner service. The hostess & wait staff was friendly. Our waitress tried her best to give recommendations & answer questions about the menu, but she could have been better at it. The food was ALL excellent. My only recommendation is to add some kind of dipping sauce or fruit relish to the coconut chicken dish. Portion sizes were decent & prices were average. We paid just under $70 for 3 entrees and 3 desserts. We would definitely eat here again...and would recommend it to others. We hope to try it for breakfast one day too!!

“Delicious Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We stopped in on our way out to Hersheypark for the day. We sat on the screened in porch and were able to enjoy unseasonably mild August weather! The food was fantastic, and the service excellent. We will definitely be eating here again!
