Springhill Suites was a good hotel for our family of 6 on our weekend trip to Hershey. Here are the highlights:
Location:
Perfect. Less than 10 minutes from door to door to get to Hershey Park. There is also a large grocery store and several other shops if you need supplies.
Hotel:
Lobby was functional and what you expect from this type of family-oriented Marriott. Coffee and fruit basket all day. TV in lobby and a small business area.
Pool was indoor and not crowded. It's a small pool but was great for the kids. There is also a hot tub/ spa off of the pool. We didn't use the exercise room, but it looked pretty basic.
Room:
The suite is actually like a room and a half. The kitchen/desk/living area is only slightly divided from the bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. We had 2 queen beds and also used the pullout sofa, which was fine for two small children, but would have been a squeeze for 2 adults or teens. Bathroom was fine and we liked having the sink outside of the shower/toilet area. We also liked the blackout curtains. There were 2 tvs.
Food:
There is a small selection of food at the front desk for purchase. There was a free bottle of water in the room. The free breakfast was fine for us, but get there early because it gets crowded. We stuck with the cereal, oatmeal and fruit. The kids also had some of the bagels.
Overall this was a solid hotel for a family visit. There's nothing romantic or luxury about it, but most people know what to expect from this line of Marriott. It was perfect for a weekend.
