The staff at the Gardens are so friendly and you can tell that they really enjoy being there. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. The kids enjoyed the "scavenger hunt". I'm really glad that we took the time to visit this place. It was much more than we expected!

“Hershey gardens a "sweet" surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

We have visited the Hershey Gardens every time we visit Hershey or Lancaster. These gardens take on a different personality with the seasons and the many, many volunteers keep each area in pristine condition. Having visited the Dupont's Longwood Gardens we expected to see the best at Hershey. The gardens are designed to take advantage of the landscape and you can see the Hershey Hotel from several viewpoints within the garden. It is a photographer's dream from the ponds, butterfly house, rose gardens, and flowers of every type. The walk is casual (although some hills) and does not require as much time to cover as Longwood; however, the parking can be tight so get there early. We parked in our RV with no problems.
After our garden tour we had lunch at the Hershey Hotel and walked around the grounds taking more pictures just like we were "paying" guests. A wonderful way to spend the day and make some treasured memories. It is very interesting to see how different Biltmore, Hershey and Dupont created their gardens. Add these three to your bucket list.

My husband proposed to me here so of course it holds a special spot in my heart. It's a wonderful place to take a few hours to spend walking among the flowers and relax. There are many events that are held at this venue that can be attended by the public by purchasing tickets. One event that I especially look forward to is the Day of Wine and Roses (if that's not the exact title of the event, then it's something close to that).

Nice displays that change all the time. Worth the time. The flowers are awesome everytime I go. Paking can be tricky if you have a bigger vehicle, but worth it.

“Hershey Gardens is a beautiful serene escape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Visited Hershey Gardens in August and it was just beautiful. Spent hours taking pictures and looking at butterflies at the butterfly garden. Could have spent more time, but it was a VERY hot day and it was just unbearable. They do provide parasals for the sun.
