“educational stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

One of our stops in Hershey. Museum was interesting but smaller than expected and a lot of space dedicated to foundation work. Add ons of course cost more so we opted to skip.

“Great intro to Hershey PA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Yes, it's a "corporate" museum, but it's well though out and really interesting. I think almost everyone will appreciate the story of Mr. Hershey, his chocolate, his workers, his philanthropy, and his town.

“kids love the scavenger hunt”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Scavenger hunt was fun for my 7 yr old grand daughter. She loved making her own "chocolate bar" and the chocolate tasting. Too much chocolate for me. Interesting history about Hershey. You need to go there and see how the town got started and keeps going.

“Was looking for (s)more :)”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Out of 10, I'd rate this a 4. The museum itslef is probably not suitable for kids since the majority deals with reading about the history of Milton Hershey via wall placarts situated next to various displays. The chocolate lab is probably better suited for children. A bit disappointed with the museum, was expecting a bit more for the money, maybe at least a free treat at the end. The museum is the second floor of the building and the admission is $10/adult, for a large family, that's a bit stiff for 1 hour of educational entertainment. Granted, the presumption is that a portion of the proceeds go to the Foundation for various good projects, but wouldn't it be great if the general public got a break as well ? I'd suggest a $6/ entry fee as being perfectly adequate.
