What can I say about this place. It's like heaven, The service, food, rooms, activities. It's family run. Landscaping is immaculate. Great for family reunions. You can eat as much as you want. If you're kid wants to eat pasta every night for dinner, they can do that. If you have dietary restrictions, they are really accomodating. I stayed last spring for a girl scout weekend with a friend who needed to be on a gluten free diet and she did not get sick once. All the rooms have a view of the lake. We stayed in a Springbrook suite. We also stayed in a house on the Woodlcoh property. It was very nice-clean, new and quiet. When you go to dinner, all the workers line up on 2 sides. They have theme nights. One night they were dressed in cruise attire. I felt like I was in a special place. It's sort of like going back in time when I visit here, because the service is so amazing, its sort of old fashioned, wood paneling in the dining room. They have a different character for every meal, which the kids love. Tons of things for the kids to do; pools-indoors and out, The lake is really clean. They have a slide going into the lake - which I went on and was fun. There is a beach for the kids to play at, kayaks, rowboats, pedal boats, archery, rock climbing wall, go carts, bicycles, nature paths, game room, bumper boats, bumper cars, an indoor crawl through maze for the kids, bingo, entertainment at night-horse racing, magic shows. They bring an animal farm to the resort once a week. It's gotten more expensive the last few years, but they keep adding more activities. They have family acitvities - contests, games. You can get involved as much or as little as you want to. There are tons of lounge chairs to relax on. You can really relax here. You can take a 15 minute cruise on a boat around the lake - it holds 12 people. I've been here in the spring/summer but I'm sure the fall/winter is as much fun. If you go in October, I think it's themed for Halloween. Haunted hayrides. Yippeeee! The only thing I don't like about Woodloch is they charged me $25 cancellation fee for Labor Day weekend. I had to cancel. It was booked for a week. Labor day is more than a month away. I feel they charge enough without having a cancellation fee! But, I have been to some dumpy resorts in the Poconos. I'm never going back there, will definitely go back to Woodloch.
