“A good stopping point on the journey north...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2010

I'm a big Priceline user, and generall have had good experiences. This one was no different.

I hadn't stayed in a Wyndham in a long time, but not much has changed in the years since my last stay.

The room and bed were pretty comfortable, and the price we paid was good.

This 3-star hotel was exactly what we had wanted-15 minutes from Hershey, clean and comfortable. We booked this hotel on Hotwire and were very happy with the experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was recently renovated and pleasantly appointed and we had a wonderful stay.

The rooms were cool and fresh when we arrived and the A/C was perfect. The hotel had a modest check-in area and no breakfast was included in the room rate, but we still were satisfied with the value. There was a small snack area to purchase a bite to eat for breakfast and throughout the day. Prices at this little snack./cafe were reasonable and they offered bagels, muffins, cereal and milk, tea and coffee and assorted drinks and snacks.

The hotel had individual TV screens in the snack bar/cafe and had a single computer and printer for the guests to use, perfect for checking email. There were no fees for the computer use.

We reserved two rooms and the hotel found us rooms that were adjoining. We asked for a refrigerator and they even brought up a microwave to use in each room, too. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and functional.

We would highly recommend this hotel!

Not the best hotel. I couldn't even enter my room when I first arrived. The room key didn't work. This happened several times and I had to get 3 new keys. In addition, the hot tub and sauna were out of order and apparently hasn't been working for awhile. Lastly the gym equipment was below average which is unfortunate for me because the fitness room is usually a favorite of mine. The only positives are that the rooms are decent and the staff member with the Mohawk is very nice.

I travel quite a bit for business, and I have learned not to be overly particular. Generally, I let a lot of things slide whereas many people might nitpick.

This was a very below average hotel on many fronts. First, the place was downright hot. Not warm, hot. The hallways were stifling and the rooms never cooled off. The reason they did not cool off was the AC unit in the room was way too small.

The hotel itself was beat up. Normally I would no comment on something that minor, but when you spent an entire night in sweating, you get a little grumpy.

I just did not like this hotel. Maybe I am skewed beacuse the damn place was so hot. Maybe in the winter it's better.

I'm a management consultant and I travel constantly within the US. This Wyndham rates lower than a 1970's motor inn. No working ice machines, under-powered airconditioners in the rooms - I could not get the room cooler than 80 degrees. No air conditioning in the hallways or the lobby. Worst of all...a hotel staff that did not care about the comfort or happiness of their guests.

There is a Courtyard Marriott and a Sheraton within 0.5 miles of this Wyndham. I've stayed at those before and I recommend you choose one of those for your stay.

We stayed there for 2 nights during our trip to Hershey Park. The staff was wonderful - friendly and accommodating. We requested two adjacent rooms and they provided them without any problem. The rooms were newly remodeled, comfortable beds and nice furniture. A couple of things that were not so great - 2 elevators seemed to be insufficient for the hotel of that size. We ended up choosing stairs when we saw others were waiting for the elevator. Given that we are young and healthy, climbing to the 4th floor was not a big problem, but it could be an inconvenience for someone who is not as fit and young. The hallways seemed to be still "under construction" and were not sufficiently air conditioned. The ice and vending machines on our floor were broken so we had to go to other floors for ice. The cafe was nice and convenient to grab coffee, OJ and a bagel on the run. The location central to everything - about 10 minutes to Hershey attractions. All in all - a pretty nice place for a short stay. Would stay again.

Location is great - we went to Hershey Park and Dutch Wonderland and both were very convenient to get to. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Outdoor pool was perfect for our 2 small kids. Make sure you request a refrigerator and /or microwave as they are not standard in every room. We stayed in the suite which is great for families- had 2 air conditioners and 2 tv's.
