“One of the best experiences I've ever had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

This was a great hotel! It was about a 10-15 minute drive from Hershey Park. They had a wonderful, friendly staff. The pool was big, the wireless internet was great, their breakfast was much better than an average breakfast. Also, it seems like the hotel was recently renovated. They have a great tv, mini-fridge, microwave. To make it even better, it is affordable. Whenever I go back to Hershey, I'm going to stay here because it was definitely one of the best hotels around there.

Hotel seems recently renovated. Halls and rooms were nicely appointed with small fridge, microwave, flat screen tv, iron/board, hair dryer, storage areas, desk, wireless and wired internet. The beds were comfortable and room temperature was adjustable. Did not use or see outdoor pool or area (open 10a to dusk). We spent most of our time at Hershey attractions about 12-15 minutes away. Hotel was half the price of Hershey hotels and $50/night cheaper than hotels between Hershey and this hotel. The breakfast fare was fine. The scrambled eggs were actually quite good. There were 2 waffle makers with 2 choices of batter each day. One complaint regards the stairs/elevator to 2nd floor. The easy-access staircase to the 2nd floor was wide and sloped nicely but it felt like you were going to fall through due to the give in the steps and crazy squeaks and squaks made on each step. The other complaint was that the elevator was down around a corner and half-way down the hotel. If you had a low 200 room number and needed to use the elevator, you had to travel basically the full length of the hotel to get from your room to the lobby ... half way the hotel to elevator on one floor then half way the hotel back to the lobby .... terrible design. There is a McDonalds and Burger King very nearby but getting there and back is a bit of a pain as the road is a divided road and requires patience with u-turns and turn-around points to get from 1 place to another.

Room Tip: If you require elevator, ask for a room near elevator as the elevator access is in the middle of the...

Decent rooms, but nothing special...free wi-fi...good vending machines and helpful employees. The breakfast was far above average and made the stay worthwhile.

Room Tip: a quiet, restful sleep

I just traveled to the Harrisburg/Hershey Area for 5 days for a Basketball Tournament and our team reserved a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn, Harrisburg. Appeared to be an older hotel that had been renovated. Terrible layout with extremely long halls and only one elevator. This made moving your bags to and from your room painful.

Check in was painless and the Front Desk Staff was friendly. Our room was clean, looked as if it had been recently redone, and the living area was good size. Bathroom was clean but barely functional due to its size. It was very small, probably the smallest bathroom I have encountered in this class of hotel.

Our 1st night there our AC did not work, the following day the staff had it repaired by mid-day. No other problems with the room. Pool was good size and in good shape. Hotel provided Free wifi throughout the hotel which was nice. It was not very fast but at least allowed you to check emails.

Breakfast was provided each morning. Simple, nothing fancy but ok. Eating area was small and quickly overwhelmed when the hotel was full. Day front desk staff were very nice, professional, and helpful. Night Front Desk Staff were the grumpiest nastiest people I have ever had the displeasure to deal with.

Given the location and type of hotel I feel it was over priced, there are better cheaper options out there.

Overall it get an Ok rating. It would not be my 1st choice when I return to the area, however, it would continue to be an option.

We stayed here for one night after visiting Hershey park. Room was reasonably clean and the furniture appears to be quite new. Called the front desk for additional toiletries and they were promptly delivered. King bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good given the price. We didn't try the wireless internet but we were told that it's available. Parking is free and very easily accessible from our room.

I picked this hotel because we had stayed there last year and it still is a great hotel! The rate is good, parking free, breakfast free, internet free.......that's what I look for. Clean rooms, our room was a good size for 4 of us. Outside pool beautiful and clean. Breakfast good, cereal, milk, yogurt, waffles, toast, eggs, bacon......juice and coffee.
Location is fantastic for Hershey, straight on 22 east make right turn on 39 and pull right up to Hershey parking lot, approximately 7 miles from hotel.
Any questions send me a message, been going to Hershey for 20 years now!

The rooms were very clean. Wifi reception was unfortunately poor. The hotel staff was not terribly enthusiastic or upbeat, but they were professional. The breakfast buffet was well attended and regularly stocked. Overall, for an overnight stay in order to get to the parks, this was a good, affordable stop.
