“management came through”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2010

after a few bumps in the road upon checking in , i felt it was time to talk to management about some issues we had with the hotel. i spoke with the gm michael lund and in no time at all he handled everything in a very professional and courtious manner. this stay could have gone either way but thanks to management we all have a great visit. i would highly recommend this location ps thanks to elizabeth at the front desk, she was great

Lovely kitchen area------- that's the only nice thing i have to say about this hotel. At the edge of loud train tracks and what sounds like a truck route, you will be greeted by a grumpy desk clerk who (if they look up at you at all) will seem rather annoyed that you are checking in. Then you will enter your room to a thick smell of smoke and BO. Lovely. Moving on to the bedroom you will find dirty sheets, something brown smeared on the wall, dirty sheets and garbage under the vanity, and finally a TINY bathroom with broken fixtures held in place with wads of toilet paper. You will wake up to a FREE breakfast in a diry TINY eating area.... you will stock beakfast supplies yourself because the one guy in the kitchen is nowhere to be found... you MAY find something edible... and then fight with other guests in their pajamas over 'saving seats.' When you go to check out you will be told they have your credit card number but can't find your name anywhere in the system...... in in the very end you will still have to pay your credit card bill when it comes. You will NEVER stay at a Staybridge hotel ever again.

We booked staybridge on results from Tripadvisor, and we are glad we did. When we arrived I was so happy. I can not say enough about this hotel. As soon as we arrived we can tell how clean it was. The front desk were very nice and our room was ready instantly. The lobby is very inviting. When we got to our room it was much higher than we expected. Not to mention it had everything we needed. Awesome stay! we will definately be back

My girlfriend and I stayed at the StayBridge Suites in Harrisburg from August 5th through August 7th. Our First night the AC started making a lot of noise and then started blowing hot air. That morning we told the front desk and they were apologetic and immediately moved our room and upgraded us to a suite. Throughout our stay the entire staff was attentive to our needs, smiled and greeted us every time they saw us. The rooms were spotless, the hotel was clean and had very warm feel to it. The lobby was great with two separate seating areas, one of those areas were built just like a living room. The rooms themselves are like mini apartments with a microwave, refrigerator, stove top and cupboards stocked with cups, plates and condiments.
When you hear complimentary breakfast from a hotel the vision in your head is of boxed cereal, muffins and maybe some coffee (which is all included); but the StayBridge turned that vision upside down. Each morning we were there they had a hot buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast and a waffle maker and batter!. Also there was a full self serve coffee, tea, juice and soda area. The last morning we were there the hotel was packed and the main seating area was full. The hotel staff immediately noticed that my girlfriend and I had no place to sit and opened up one of the conference areas so we can eat (additional guests followed).
From the entire hotel staff, to the beautiful rooms and the price, we have nothing but great things to say about our stay at the StayBridge in Harrisburg we will definitely be staying there again.

Some other things-
- The hotel is about a 20 minute drive to all Hershey attractions(even during peak hours)

- There is ample parking for guests at the hotel (free parking)

- Free Wifi

- The pool seemed nice, although the fitness area is extremely small, one elliptical ,two treadmills and one exercise bike.

- The hotel offers a free laundry area although it was always in use(3 washers, 3 dryers)

- If you use a gps that is from the movie “Final Destination” it might take you through some disparaging parts of town that might make you rethink your decision of choosing this hotel. Please don’t worry this hotel is in a beautiful secluded area that is easily accessible to all major highways.

- If you’re looking for good eats in Hershey we went to a Sports bar/Lounge/Restaurant called Fire Alley which was excellent and an Italian Restaurant called Fenicci’s which was amazing as well.

- If you have Kids the T.V’s pretty up to date, and the two rooms we were in both had DVD players attached to the T.Vs

- The Hotel has a pantry area that is open 24s where you can buy anything from aspirin to ice-cream

a good family hotel with nicely sized suites. Has a pool, gym and business centre etc. We chose this hotel as it gave us a good priced hotel within 30 minutes of Hershey. The travel to and from the park was simple enough and made the price savings well worth it compared to a hotel in Hershey itself.

My family and I just came back from our vacation in PA. We had booked a hotel in the Hershey area and 2 weeks before the trip the hotel contacted us to advise that there had been some overbooking and our reservation had to be cancelled.

We were able to book our 3 nights at the Staybridge Suites in Harrisburg and could not have been happier with the great quality of their service and food. It was a blessing in disguise after all. A FULL complementary breakfast is served every morning with a great variety of food for the whole family. We had a hostess come over our table a couple of mornings to let us know that the breakfast was ending and they were going to start putting the food away in case we wanted anything else. Now, that is great service!!

We definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel was wonderful! Upon arrival the staff was efficient, kind, friendly, and courteous. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The linens, mattress and pillows were well above standard issue and very comfortable. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful staff at breakfast. They kept everything clean and refilled as needed. The staff was once again friendly and efficient. Should I ever return to this area I will definitely plan to stay here again.
