“Host With The Most!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

We recently stayed at the Terra Nova B&B both as a stop-over on our way home from a vacation and to do some shopping. This B&B's proximity to the outlet mall alone is fantastic for those wishing to get in some retail therapy. However, it is the host, Ryan, who will make you feel welcome and comfortable. Ryan goes above and beyond in providing you with restaurant selection ideas, complete with maps and a card for a free dessert or appetizer. When we told Ryan where we were planning on going for dinner, he phoned the restaurant to confirm his suspicion that it was closed Sundays, saving us a trip there. He also gave us a booklet of coupons for the outlet mall. The house is lovely and well kept. Our room was excellent with a very comfortable bed and well stocked bathroom. There is a small fridge on the second floor in which Ryan placed a fruit and cheese plate. There are two Keurig machines with a selection of coffees, teas and hot chocolate so guests may help themselves. There was also a tray of packages of munchies i.e. potato chips. Even that was not the end of Ryan's hospitality because he also put out a wrapped up chocolate tart for an evening snack. Breakfast was at 9:00 a.m. and was absolutely delicious. We had homemade waffles with yogurt and fresh fruit and a side of bacon and potatoes, but there were several choices if waffles don't strike your fancy. We had orange juice and coffee with our meal, which really hit the spot. Soft music plays in the background as you eat in a lovely period dining room with tables spread around the room, which is nice if you don't wish to eat with other travellers first thing in the morning. This was a fantastic stay. I don't know why anyone would want to stay in a hotel when options like this exist. We will return.

Travelled with our neighbours for a weekend getaway and shopping. Our neighbour booked our accomodations and certainly found a hidden treasure. Our weekend at the Terra Nova B&B in Grove City, PA, was certainly the most accomodating and relaxing stay in a B&B my wife and I have had in years. The rooms were excellent and to say the least the breakfast choices provided by Ryan and Molly Mercer, our hosts, were delicious. Why anyone would stay in a hotel and sit in a noisy lounge, after a day of shopping or travelling the countryside, when you can relax on the front wrap around porch or sit in the front parlour and enjoy a bottle of wine, you purchased, and the cheese and fruit tray supplied by our hosts is simply a no brainer. I live in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada, and certainly have told my fellow workers and friends about our wonderful weekend at the Terra Nova B&B in Grove City, PA. No regrets in recommending the Terra Nova B&B as my wife and I are planning our next weekend getaway in the future to enjoy the hospitality provided by the Mercer family.

My daughter and I went for a shopping weekend and we felt completely spoiled and pampered during our two nights at Terra Nova House. The breakfast was out of this world, Ryan made dinner reservations for us...we had absolutely nothing to worry about. The house and rooms are spotless. The snacks, brownies and homemade cookies were an extra special treat. I have stayed at other hotels in the area and there is no comparison. I cannot recommend Terra Nova House enough. Thank you Ryan, we enjoyed our weekend very much.

Room Tip: The Caribbean room is small but was perfect for my teenage daughter and myself. If I were to go wit...

Ryan was an extremely attentive host. He has pride in his Bed and Breakfast and it shows. The breakfast was delicious and the menu was extensive. We enjoyed a wonderful night sleep in a quaint, quiet room. I was also impressed with his housekeeping skills. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! I am a bit of a clean freak and was delighted to find such a well cared for room. Will definely return.
Thankyou
Marlene and Jim

Ryan exceeded our expectations! We were two couples on a shopping trip and at day end it felt as if we were coming home. Each morning we had three breakfast choices, hot or not and you wont need lunch! All day long help yourselves to Keurig coffee and snacks including a piping hot cookie brought out to us by Ryan one night as we sat in the comfy parlour sipping wine. Each evening each couple had a cheese and fruit plate waiting for them. Rooms were very inviting with comfortable beds TV and all the necessities. Ryan made dinner reservations and kept us up to date on all the local activities etc. Why anyone would stay at a cold bleak hotel instead of this B&B is beyond me. With all considered the price is better than the hotels as well. Great job Ryan.

Room Tip: Atlantic room and english rose room were great.

Could not have asked for a better stay. Rooms were super clean. Amenities were abundant with special interest for me with coffee and some very luscious sweets. Breakfast was scrumptious with great choices. Very attentive inn keepers who are warm, friendly, and catering to every need. Simply a most wonderful night and a great break for my wife and I.

Room Tip: Stayed in Rose room which was very bright and inviting. Other rooms had their own distinct characte...

From the outset, email contact and reservations, greeting on the front porch, through two quiet, comfortable nights and fabulous breakfasts to our departure, our experience was nothing short of outstanding. Without a doubt our best B & B experience!
Ryan's customer service and attention to detail should be the standard of the industry. He is available when you need anything and unobtrusive when you don't. The house itself is spotless, quiet and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for.
We'll be back!
