“Excellent Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

I had a delicious pear salad. This is the 4th time I have driven there to meet friends, about a two hour trip, and worth the effort! Have never been disappointed in my meal.

“Amazing food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

My husband and I frequent this place at least twice a year. It is a little expensive, but the food and service make the price worth it. Their chicken dumplings are delicious- spicy and sweet, cooked to perfection. Their seafood has always been cooked just right. We always end our meal with the creme brulee. This is dessert is honestly the best dessert we have ever tasted out of all the meals we have ever had at a restaurant. Cool on the bottom, warm and crispy on the top. It is hard to perfect but the Hartwood does it. Service is always great as well. We highly recommend this place to anyone willing to splurge on a fantastic meal.

“Worth the Drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

You could easily drive past this place without giving it a second glance--but don't--that would be a big mistake! This little gem is a local restaurant for the surrounding communities, but it's also a destination for those looking for a romantic evening, or a quiet dinner, or a special evening with friends.

The first thing you notice as you walk in is the charm and intimacy of the decor. It's spacious yet

“A bit on the pricey side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

We had dinner here Saturday evening - my lamb was very good as was my wife's filet. The pear and goat cheese salads were also very good.
