“Some of the Best Authentic Italian Cuisine in the Western Delaware County Suburbs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

Having not visited Pescatores in a while we decided to stop by for late lunch on a Friday in Lent, ordering two seafood dishes… Cajun seafood salad and fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. I was not sure if ordering a Cajun dish in an Italian restaurant was a smart choice, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice blend of garden-fresh flavors combined with the crisp texture of fresh-made pita bread and perfectly-cooked fresh shrimp, scallops and calamari. The fettuccine Alfredo was very rich and flavorful, and one of the best in the western Delaware County suburbs. Both dishes were served in large portions, so we each took about half of our meal back home to enjoy the next day. We probably should have cut back on the fresh-baked warm bread served before the meal, but it was irresistibly good.

We enjoyed our visit to Pescatores with service that was courteous and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere is not formal but warm and friendly. The food is well prepared, authentic Italian style at a reasonable price. You may initially be a bit put-off by the restaurant’s location (in a strip mall on Rt. 202) and the somewhat outdated interior décor, but the excellent food and service will make your visit truly worthwhile!

“Very Good Food and Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

I usually eat at Pescatores when I visit family in Pennsylvania. This is a very good restaurant with a nice menu selection. Service is prompt and attentive without being intrusive. The food quality and portions are very good. My seafood pasta dish was enough for two people, and it was delicious. While I arrived early for dinner, I was somewhat concerned because we were the only people in the restaurant, and it was a Friday evening. However, it eventually began to fill up. They seem to have a following of regulars in the restaurant and bar. I also noticed good take out traffic for pizza. Overall, a very good restaurant and is worth a visit.

“Great food and fantastic beer selection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

This is one of our favorite local restaurants. The beer selection is the biggest surprise, with several on-tap micro-brew offerings and probably one hundred top-end bottle beer selections. This is one of the few places where I can count on getting my favorite Ithaca Beer Co. Flower Power. The food is top-end Italian fare. They offer perfectly prepared gourmet creations with pasta, seafood, veal, and beef. They also have pub selections including several specialty pizza creations. Our favorite is the seafood pizza, which is loaded with yummy toppings. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent.

“Been there many times!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We have been going there about 2-3 times a year for 5 years or so. You would think that having rated it average we wouldn't go back, but the food is decent and they have some good deals with coupons and 1/2 price gift certificates, that keep us coming back. That being said over the years it has slipped a bit. 2 years ago I probably would have rated it a 4. Their lobster bisque used to be good, not so much anymore. The Calamari was not done right, it was tough with tiny little shoe string pieces where it used to be nice and lightly fried, tender with decent size chunks. They changed their vendor for some of their pasta. The manicotti use to be fresh tasting now its nothing special. My father did not like the veal parm last time, pretty much breading. We got the crab dip last time and we both had some bathroom related issues (it was the only thing we shared). That being said their portions are still decent and some of the dishes are still very good such as three color tortellini, chicken isabella among others. The last couple times we went the gnocchi were out of this world, nice, light tasting, very filling with a great sauce. I'm getting to the point now that I feel our meals might be hit or miss. All that being said we will probably go there less in the next year or so and opt to go to some new places or some of our never fail places.

“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Good food and nice place, it could have been a 5 star review but there seem to be something missing with the environment and service. It wasn't bad by any means (it just wasn't 5 star). The place was busy but the staff did not come across as very warm all the time (our waiter was just fine though and the food was very good). We went for Valentine's day and there was a handwritten sign posted outside the door advising "no coupons accepted today" (a little tacky I thought, a more subtle way to advise clients would have probably been better).
