Having not visited Pescatores in a while we decided to stop by for late lunch on a Friday in Lent, ordering two seafood dishes… Cajun seafood salad and fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. I was not sure if ordering a Cajun dish in an Italian restaurant was a smart choice, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice blend of garden-fresh flavors combined with the crisp texture of fresh-made pita bread and perfectly-cooked fresh shrimp, scallops and calamari. The fettuccine Alfredo was very rich and flavorful, and one of the best in the western Delaware County suburbs. Both dishes were served in large portions, so we each took about half of our meal back home to enjoy the next day. We probably should have cut back on the fresh-baked warm bread served before the meal, but it was irresistibly good.
We enjoyed our visit to Pescatores with service that was courteous and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere is not formal but warm and friendly. The food is well prepared, authentic Italian style at a reasonable price. You may initially be a bit put-off by the restaurant’s location (in a strip mall on Rt. 202) and the somewhat outdated interior décor, but the excellent food and service will make your visit truly worthwhile!
