This park is the perfect size! People of all ages will love it here. They have fun musical shows and wally the bear walks around to greet children. The water park is an additional cost but well worth it. You wont regret a visit to this classic

“Old School Charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

This was a small amusment/water park with all the thrills of a huge park. My family and I spent a couple of hours there and there were a lot of firsts for us all. The Cyclone and Flying Ravine II were wood coasters that were thrilling to say the least! The water park also had lots of thrills and chills, if you have time to stop and check it out, do yourself a favor and do it!

“Great amusement park for young kids!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

We went to Waldameer yesterday with a total of 8 kids (ranging from age 1 to 12). This place is perfect for a day trip with young kids (even older ones too). There are so many smaller rides for young kids (my kids in particular are ages 3 & 5) and they had a blast. They even rode the smaller roller coasters with no issues and had so much fun! The rides are also spaced close enough together where you're not walking around too much. They had games to play, which we didn't do. But just note this place does not take cash, they do take credit cards or what they call Walley Cards where you put cash onto a card to use. It was convenient for us using a credit card and not having to carry around cash. We also brought our food with us, so the only thing we ended up buying there was dessert.

We also ended up a the Water World section and it's also really nice. There are water slides for the older kids/adults and there are 2 sections for the younger kids where the water is really shallow. We thought it was odd that the water park portion closed at 7:00 while the rest of the park remained open longer. But there are several slides in both of the kids' swimming areas, whether you choose to go fast or slow, there is something for each type of kid. I also noticed that they are expanding the park, it'll be interesting to see what they will be adding! Overall it was a fun day with the kids and we would definitely go back!

“A fun day for children”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

A very nice smaller park. Loved the fact that it is smaller, not a lot of walking in between rides, makes it easier on Grandmas and Grandpas to keep up. Ky daughter was able to ride all the rides she loved several times, it wasn't overcrowded, a perfect place for a six year old. Going back for sure!

“Odd hours, but good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

On the way home from our vacation, we decided to take an extra day to check out this charming picnic/amusment/water park in Erie. With no fee for parking or admission (pay as you go) we felt it would be a good bet with our young daughter, who doesn't need the big thrill rides. It was a good call! We brought our own lunch in (absolutely permitted) and just bought snacks, and were able to keep costs down by only doing a few rides we really wanted to try. It's a 'cashless' park - you load up a card with money for rides and food, and when it's done you can re-load if you want. It declines fast of course, but at many parks you'd pay a hundred bucks to get three people in the gate! We spent maybe 60 bucks that day, had a lovely time on some classic rides. Next time we'll plan to try the waterpark too, and spend longer. One small thing - the hours are weird. Don't go before 1 pm on a Sunday, they have a 'rolling opening' with only a few rides open at noon.
