“A Must See Park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2011

This is a great park, especially for families. It is not a huge park but enough to do in one day without being overwhelmed. It packs a lot of punch. It has shade, has free parking, a waterpark, no charge for general admisssion, has a beautiful view of lake ERIE, and even has some thrill ride for the older kids. It is not over expensive to get in (around $20, I believe) It has a historical feel as it is over 100 years old I think. I love that its smoke-free. The waterpark has something for everyone..a lazy river, 2 nice small kids areas, a big hot tub and lots of different slides. The food can be a bit expensive but there are plenty of picnic tables and areas where you can sit in the shade and enjoy a picnic you bring. We usually do the waterpark early, the main park then head down to Presque Isle for the dinnertime, it makes for a great day!!

“Overcrowded and Expensive!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2010

Waldameer is overcrowded and expensive! Saturdays are miserble with elbow to elbow lines of people. When finally inside, you go to the ticket area where they charge you fo every little thing. Trying to navigate around the place is hard with very little direction. We went on a cold day so the waterpark was cold, that not Waldameer's fault though. I really think Waldameer is expensive for what you get.

“Exceeded expectations!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2010

Waldameer (we did not do the water park because it was slightly chilly) is a great family park. The day rate isn't too expensive, and there is plenty to do. They have a nice balance of kiddie rides, adult/young adult rides, games, food, and then you add the water park on top of that. Our favorite rides were the newer coaster (updated in 2008) and the X-Scream (sort of like Kennywood's Pitfall). If you're there on Karaoke day, which was hilarious!! Their meatball hoagies were delicious. Its a great value if you're ever in Erie!

“Needs Improvement”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2010

The food prices are way way way too high!!!! In this economy who can afford what they charge at Waldameer for the food and it is not what they call a 5 star restaurant situation either..The cigarette smoking is nasty and butts all over the ground, smells horrible, and bothers many people and some folks have health conditions that smoking causes more problems for them, filthy and even dogs that are not attended to that many people do not keep control of and also scare some people and really do not belong there!!..The Karaoke should begin when Waldameer opens each year on weekends and last until closing day as July to August is not long enough for people to enjoy and many park visitors enjoy listening to the people singing. It would be mice if Mr. Nelson would listen to this and consider the changes. Thank you!
