This hotel was is a hidden gem. It is a fairly small 4-storey hotel that I'd never heard of before, but I will surely look for a Homewood wherever we need to stay anywhere for the night.
We stayed 1 night on July 9 after driving 12 hours from Huntsville, Alabama in the King Studio on the way to Niagara Falls.
If you are wondering why the queen suite is $10 more, the prices are not messed up. The King Suite is $129, and the Queen Suite really is $139. The reason being is the king has 1 king bed (very comfy) and pullout twin sofa in one very large room and the queen suite has 2 bedrooms, w/ 2 queen beds.
The suites have a full kitchen with a full sized fridge/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and sink. They even have dishes and utensils and free microwave popcorn along with a coffeemaker with coffee and tea.
Check in was quick and easy, and the lady at the front desk was very accomodating and friendly. We stayed in the 4th floor, facing the back of the hotel towards the mall. The view was not that great, but there were 2 large windows in the studio. The bathroom and room were very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The pool was fairly small, and only went to 3 1/2 or 4 feet, but we did not use it so i can not comment on that.
There's plenty of shopping and a nice Millcreek mall within walking distance and I recommend it if you have some spare time.
In the morning a complimentary hot breakfast is provided and is very good. The selection includes cold and hot cereal, pastries, hot big belgium waffles, sausage links or bacon(alternates each day), scrambled eggs, juice, milk, many types of coffe, and so on.
Overall this is probably the best hotel in the Peach St./Interchange Rd. area although the Fairfield Inn by Marriott next door seemed to look nice if you don't require the kitchen and living room. But we would defiitely stay here again.
