“Quirky and Clean! We care about VALUE & CLEANLINESS!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

Nothing fancy. But our room was clean and much bigger than I expected. Plenty of room for the kids to spread out and the pool area was a nice little spot for them to play in. The staff was really friendly, and even the housekeepers were pleasant, helping us with our cooler and recommending places to go for dinner with the kids. A great value for sure as long as you aren't picky about needing a fancy decor to shut the lights and go to sleep! Highly recommend for families on a budget.

This place is not that bad, yes it needs updating, but upon our arrival on Friday May 23rd 2014 around 4:00PM for Memorial Day weekend all of the other hotels in the area had prices well over $120.00 for the night, we just needed a place to sleep and shower, this place served perfectly for those two purposes.
The girl at the front desk who checked us in was friendly and helpful with getting us checked in quickly and helping us with getting ice for our cooler, and even though the room we had did not have a refrigerator, our cooler was just fine to keep things chilled over night.
The politeness of the staff, cleanliness of the bed, pillows, towels etc.. is enough to get me to stay there again.

Nothing fancy, but very clean and the front desk girl was really nice and friendly. We were just passing through and found all the other budget brand hotels to be over $150!!! So, we were very happy to find a room here for $69.00. We had a big room with two queen size beds and a clean shower with lots of hot water and fresh towels, and got a great night's sleep. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning and we were on our way. I booked a reservation for our return trip and look forward to making the Tallyho-tel my regular stop in Erie.

Stay here only if everything else is full and you need to be off the roads. This hotel has such potential, but as of now...it REAKS! The mattress was flat, sheets and towels dingy, pillows small and lumpy, chair very stained, all surfaces in need of replacement. Don't touch the bedspread except to peal it off the bed. Everything else was full so this hotel helped us to get off the road when we were too tired to drive. We paid $62.50 when it should have been about $29.99. One good thing. The people at the front desk were very friendly. Owners of the Tally-ho, my advice to you is to put some money into remodeling and change the name (nothing with ho in it). You will have a treasure. The one thing I enjoyed doing while I was there is looking around and thinking of remodeling ideas.

Room Tip: I am not aware of a good room.

This hotel looked nice from the outside. The buildings looked well maintained and the landscaping was well done. Did not think of a reason to ask to see the room before checking in. BIG Mistake--HUGE. This was by far the worst DUMP I have ever seen. It was dirty, cobwebs hanging rusty sink and toilet, No airconditioning. Only 2 handtowels (No Bathtowels). No shower head. When we asked for a refund we were told that they do not give refunds and that we should have asked to see the room before we committed to staying there. I dont care how tired I am if that was the only room available I would sleep in my car.

THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL NITEMARE!!!!!! DO NOT EVER STAY THERE!!!!!!

Room Tip: DON'T EVER STAY HERE!!!!!!! You have been warned. Higher rooms have less A/C noise

I have stayed in many types of accommodations over the years and this one has to be at the very bottom of the heap. First room was supposed to be made up but someone forgot to tell housekeeping you have to make the bed after stripping. My non smoking room stank and had an ashtray?? We had over 6 rooms booked and none where any better. Will not make the mistake of staying here again!!

Although this motel was affordable / cheap; it was obvious that we got what we paid for. Our room was musty and not the cleanest. It did serve its purpose in that we simply needed a cheap overnight stay...for one night; but we likely would not stay here again. We were with a group of people, so I believe that this helped us focus on the friendships vs the negative aspects of the motel.

Room Tip: Location was good, as was the price; however we will likely not stay here again.
