“Great Hotel, great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2010

We were going to Pittsburgh from Canada. So we stop in Erie.
The hotel is clean and offer free internet wi-fi and continental breakfast.
The room was clean. The clerk SEAN, was very friendly.
The hotel is close to many restaurants and shopping mall.

At only 69.99 per night, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while waiting for our car to be fixed in the shop. Convenient location to food, movies, public library, etc. They had no problem letting us check out late at 1:00pm for no charge until our car was ready. Very friendly staff, great wireless.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2009

We stayed at this hotel for one night after booking the hotel for 55 dollars on Priceline. It was great for what we wanted. We had gone shopping in Grove City an hour away and wanted to spent the next day at Presque Isle State Park. We were pleasantly suprised by the amount of shopping and restaurants near by the hotel and the state park is only 10 minutes away. The person working the front desk was really nice and helpful. The only thing that was not great when we were there was that the breakfast place closed at 9am and it was packed just before then. We did not want to wait in line to get food, so just went to a fast food place nearby.

Our room at the Fairfield Inn seemed to be larger than the one in Henrietta, NY. It was very nice with comfortable beds. Because we knew about the microwavable breakfast, we did not eat breakfast in the hotel on the day of check-out. The front desk clerk was very helpful when we checked in. The major disapointment I had was not honoring AAA/AARP discounts on the weekend. I suppose with a casino nearby, you don't have to give a break on room rates.

This hotel is great - the entire hotel is clean and modern. The rooms are very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The free breakfast provides a lot of choice and is kept well stocked. Breakfast room is also kept very clean. A great hotel at a reasonable price. Location is very handy to lots of shopping and restaurants.

Stayed here one night while passing through Pa. Check in was quick and problem free - although the front desk clerk was obviously very busy. Room was ok...big stains on the chairs (looked like they never even attempted to clean) and there was a musty odor that had me coughing all night. The bathroom appeared run down - grout between the tiles was very dirty and the bottom of the bathtub was stained brown with dirt (either that or just wasnt cleaned). Several tiles were cracked and broken. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable and appeared clean - although with all the other problems in the room I wondered if the bed was really as clean as it appeared! There were lots of high school kids staying there and a bunch staying just accross the hall so we were up late with all the noise. Also, the pool area was overrun with teenagers to the point that my 9 year old son did not feel comfortable swimming there. Breakfast was the standard continental breakfast. Would definitely not stay here again. The price was great, but sometimes it's just better to shell out the extra 20 bucks for a more comfortable and cleaner room (and better nights sleep!).

spoke with Pam...sold us on the hotel just by chatting with her. She found us a good deal and told us all about her property and staff and everything to do and see around the area. very impressed. even more impressed when we arrived. brittania was lovely. she explained everything to us and in the evening kim gave us directions and even offered suggestions. the room was sparkling clean, the breakfast was not overwhelming but very busy. the hotel was extremely clean and the staff was remarkable. even the cleaning staff stopped and chatted. we always stayed on upper Peach Street but this very well kept secret is one we will never pass up again.

  • Liked — exceptionally clean hotel, wonderful staff even management
  • Disliked — nothing
