“BEST FARMERS MARKET IN COUNTY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

NOTE: ONLY OPEN ON FRIDAYS!...Wear comfortable shoes!, and have a fun time shopping for the freshest vegetables, meats, bakery items etc. Many different types of vendors to choose from..... Something for everyone... there are handmade goods & crafts, antiques, food stands, and even auctions. It can be hectic on Holidays.... recommend to go as early as possible to avoid heavy crowds. Personally, I do not care for the "penny merchants", selling cheap knock off merchandise...(but to each their own). There are picnic available so you can enjoy a fresh sandwich or whatever snack from the seemingly endless amount of vendors. Some people make Green Dragon a weekly event!.... Enjoy.

“Great attraction for tourists, staple for locals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Living nearby, we go to Green Dragon at least once a month for (at least) some of the best baked goods, fresh produce in the summer and always keeping our eyes open for that little "something" you didn't even know you were looking for! From great local Lancaster county eats, to antiques, fresh meats, and yes, the flea market merchandise you can spend at least an hour, up to maybe 2 or 3 for first time visitors. I would definitely recommend a visit while in the area. You may not like it, but you'll never know if you don't stop! It's open year round, but only on Fridays. In the summer there are may outside vendors as well as the permanent indoor stand-holders.

“Just ok for us”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

An odd mix of farmers market, Amish butcher shop and tacky carnival. I confess I found a $5 that I adore and we did buy some great Amish cheese, but it's like someone took every type of vendor and put them in a blender then tossed them out onto the grounds - there is made in China crap next to the Amish produce. Very strange mix. Good if you like this sort of thing. Not a lot of bargains. As an example, almonds were $9/pound. I never pay more than $6 and even that is under duress, so I think to find a bargain, like the dress, you have to really search.
