My wife and I really enjoyed our time staying at The Kimmell House. It's an old house (1765) with all the modern conveniences. But...they have such an eye for detail! It's appointed with the perfect touches to really make you feel like you're in the Colonial Era. We spent our evening time warming ourselves by the fire in the keeping room on the lower level. And it's so clean! The bedrooms were immacculate. The bathrooms too. And the food? Wow. Bonnie is awesome. We didn't have any dietary restrictions, so we ate whatever she made. (But to her credit, she did ask me if we had any dietary restrictions when we made our phone reservation). We stayed two nights, so we had two breakfasts. They were amazing! For our 2nd meal we had homemade spinach egg fritatta, sweet buns, thick-sliced oven-broiled bacon, freshly cut fruit slices with bananas, mandarin orange pieces, and kiwi, and all the coffee, juice, or tea you could want. We had a delicious homemade peach-nutmeg baked french-toast and sausage our first day. Dave and Bonnie both shared some of their own experiences with the area and gave us some local insider's info on stuff to do. Their advice on the open-air farmer's market was really helpful. They have a gift shop in the lower level that sells locally made goods. I thought that was pretty neat, and is a destination in and of itself. Dave and Bonnie were very gracious, and it's quite clear they have a heart for this business. I would highly recommend them. We'll be back as soon as we can! Thank you!
