“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

We just got home from a small family gathering in my home town , Ellwood City. With so many of us in town we had to find a hotel or place to stay and Chapel Valley Estate was recommended. It was the cleanest , most adorable place we have ever stayed. I would highly recommend staying here . Rose and Denny could not have been nicer. The place was immaculate . The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! I cannot wait to come back and stay here again! It was perfect! Thank-you Rose and Denny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used this B&B for our wedding and reception. We had to rent 2 of the rooms for 2 nights in order for them to hold the other rooms for 1 night only for our wedding guests. They gave away one of the rooms to an outside guest. Also, every where we went, we felt like we were having doors locked behind us or being locked out of places. We even had to knock on the front door to be let in for breakfast. They never gave us the code to unlock the door. Next, we were told by Medure's Catering that the owners of the B&B would not have anything to do with our wedding, that it would all be handled by the caterer. We were concerned because we had heard that the owner Denny DeAngelo was a real jerk. We were reassured that we were only renting the facility and that all other matters would be handled by the caterer. To our dismay, Denny was present in all aspects. Even bumming cigarettes from our wedding guests. He acts nice @ first, but by the end of the night he was completely uncoopperative. He started tearing down our reception @ 9:15. According to the contract, this was not suppose to occur til 10pm. He also would not allow 13 people to come up to our apartment size room @ 10pm. 8 of which were registered guests at the B&B. The other 5 people called a cab to come @ 11pm. It was also stated in the contract that guest departure from the reception would be at 10:30. He stated that he didn't want them to come up to our room in our "condition"! 6 people were completely sober! 2 were police officers and 2 were nurses. We ranged in ages from 40-28. It was completely absurd that we were treated this way. I had people in and out of that room all day without an incident. BTW...it was 98 degrees that day. He told us we had to go sit out by a bonfire if we wanted to hang out longer. It was still 90+ degrees out at that time. I was in a wedding gown and the men in tuxes and they wanted us to stay outside eventhough we had sweat most of the day. Also they said we had to keep the cooler of booze and beer outside. It was not allowed to come to our room. We paid for the alcohol at this venue. We also were forced to buy liability insurance incase of intoxicated guest or damage done to the premises. For him to tell us that we could not go back to our air conditioned room the 8 registered guest and 5 unregistered guests was completely ridiculous. They should have it listed that all non registered guests are not allowed back to the rooms and that no alcohol is allowed on the premises. No where in the contract is this stated. If you aren't a people person Denny then you shouldn't own a bed and breakfast!

"Just spent a few days again at the Chapel Valley Estate Bed n' Breakfast. Rose and Denny are the best inn keepers, take great care of you and make you feel like family. They go out of their way to make you feel special. Great food and atmosphere. We recommend it very highly!!"

Room Tip: We always like to stay in the Carriage House which is like having your own apartment!

Could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay during our holiday travels between Ohio and DC. Everything was simply lovely. The room was perfect and larger than I had anticipated. The bed was comfortable. The wintery and holiday decor throughout was beautiful. So much love and care has gone into making this bed and breakfast not just a place to stay but a welcome respite from travel. The breakfast was delicious!! It was nice to come in from the rain and cold late in the evening and find a nice complimentary snack bar and warm up with a delicious cup of tea. I cannot remember ever staying at a cleaner hotel or B&B.

We had a wonderful visit and I look forward to the next time we visit family nearby and need a place to stay.

This family-run bed and breakfast was outstanding. The attention to detail in the construction and decor of the house was incredible. The couple who ran it were really friendly and nice. It was the ideal arrangement for our large family to spend a few days together over the holidays. We had the run of three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and family rooms. It was very clean and the location itself was serene and beautiful. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Chapel Valley Estate and enjoyed every relaxing moment of our stay. We stayed in the Cottage Suite. The suite is much larger than it appears in the pictures and immaculate!! We prepared dinner one night in the full kitchen. The other night we ate at the Shakespeare Restaurant which is about a mile away. Everything about the suite was inviting. Rose and Denny were gracious hosts and Denny even let us see other rooms that we might want to stay in during future visits. Although breakfast wasn't included in our stay I had emailed Rose prior to our arrival to see if she would make breakfast for us at an additional charge and she responded that she would provide breakfast both mornings for us and that it would be complimentary!!! What a plus!! The breakfasts were great!! Since it is a short 90 minute drive from our home I know we will definitely return to Chapel Valley Estate in the future.
