“"Great upgrade from a convention hotel"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Stayed there while attending a convention in Hershey. It was quiet and peaceful (the hot tub and fireplace were relaxing), and the room was decorated nicely. Like another reviewer said, it was nice having individual tables for breakfast. Everything seemed well thought out.

After 7 long hours of seminars at the Hershey Convention Center and the noise and bustling of hundreds of attorneys, what a delight it was to drive down the lane to this B&B. The accomodations in the Wicker Room were adequate; the bed comfortable, a place for my suitcase and comfortable chairs for reading. The bedding looked a little tired, but quaint. The balcony afforded me a view of a pasture where I watched a pair of young racoons exploring the field while I read in quiet solitude. The caretakers encouraged me to swim in the lovely pool; however, I didn't take a suit. Towels are provided for guests and it looked clean and inviting. The A/C in my room couldn't be adjusted, but was adequate. Breakfast was amazing. I completed the menu request upon arrival and indicated the time I would arrive. Upon arrival, my table was set with a seasonal fruit cup, freshly squeezed OJ and freshly baked sweet bread. I ordered blueberry pancakes and sausage and both were delicious. I'm certain that at 1/3 of the cost of staying at the Hershey Lodge, I had 3x the pleasure. A great value not far from Hershey.

Custom designed building, now several decades old. Not updated (ex: no tv in rooms, only VHS movies available). Room small, breakfast could have come from any low rent restaurant.

The breakfast was ok, it would have been nicer with a little more homemade touch. The fruit could have been expanded to a little more than just watermelon and grapes.
Not having cable in the room was a little bit of a drawback and having a vhs machine in the room as opposed to a dvd player gave you limited movies.
Overall I would stay there again, quiet and comfortable.

This was our first stay at a B&B and it was just what we expected. Located in a beautiful, quiet, country setting, the room was comfy, quaint and very clean. We were welcomed upon arrival by the owner. Only one real disappointment... We were looking forward to sitting down to a full breakfast as mentioned on the website, but instead had to take a continental breakfast to our room due to recent flood damage in the dining area.

We stayed at the West Ridge Guest House 9/1 for my husband's b'day. This B& B is located in a very quiet rural-ish upscale neighborhood. The main house and guest house are located on a lovely landscaped, well-maintained property surrounded by beautifully serene pastures. The accommodations were great. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Jamie, our host, was gracious and friendly. She made a delicious breakfast for us with pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, o.j., coffee, the works! We didn't even eat lunch since we stayed nicely full from the breakfast. You do have to drive wherever you want to go, but it's close to amenities. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants a nice relaxing, quiet stay in a country inn setting.

I never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. It was so peaceful and quiet. Every one there was super nice. This Bed and Breakfast was amazing, the room was so lovely. I would stay here again and again. I do recommend this Guest House to everyone coming out that way. Thank you.
