Our room was beautiful. The inn is beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. The staff was wonderfully helpful and attentive. The price was reasonable.
I plan to stay there again.

The Lafayette Inn is a block or two from the Lafayette College campus in Easton, PA. We stayed in Easton because it was the halfway point in our visit to New England. The choice turned out to be an excellent one.
The Inn is a restored 19th century mansion, now with 18 rooms and very hospitable and conscientious innkeepers. On our way east, we stayed in the least expensive room, where we rediscovered that this older couple does not sleep well in a double bed, despite the bed's general high level of comfort. The bathroom was well equipped, with a "rainshower" shower head. Paul and Laura offered a range of good breakfast choices, leaving to the guests the problem of restraint. On our return trip a few days later, we found that we had been given an upgrade to a room with two double beds, at no extra charge, apparently in response to a passing remark of mine about the challenge that the one bed had posed for the two of us. Again, the bathroom and shower were first class, as was the breakfast. Another nice touch is the Inn's parlor, a spacious room where coffee and tea, and homemade snacks such as orange bread, are always available as are daily newspapers.
The town of Easton, to my surprise, contains a number of excellent restaurants, many of whose menus are available for inspection at the Inn. We were particularly happy with an al fresco dinner of imaginative Italian cooking at the Sette Luna restaurant on a side street.
In a perfect world, the Inn could be entered without lugging baggage up steps, and there would be an elevator between floors. The lack of handicap accessibility is the only downer in our memory of this fine establishment.

While our daughter attended Lafayette College we have stayed at the Inn for special occasions and of course had hoped to stay for graduation, but didn't get picked for the lottery. All I can say is don't give up hope! We were lucky enough to get a call the week before graduation saying they had a cancellation! How lucky we were with a pet friendly room no less so that we could bring our little dog. It just was the most relaxing way to have graduation and then move her out the next day. Great way to dine and drink and not have to get on the highways to drive. Best way to do Lafayette College Graduation if you are so lucky. Thanks again for calling us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the second time we stayed at the Lafayette and can't wait to go back. The tub for 2, amazing mattress and bedding, outside access, super friendly staff, delicious breakfast (love fresh waffles) all were amazing. The little fireplace in the room kept us nice and warm even in January. We have stayed at other inns, and this one is very reasonably priced for the amentities available. I would recommend the Lafayette Inn for any type of stay. Hopefully we will be back soon !!

  • Liked — The whirlpool tub and the bed are tied for first

What a wonderful place this was! Stayed there to attend nearby wedding and The Lafayette Inn was just perfect in every way. Beautifully appointed room; sparkling clean, spacious bathroom; cozy plush robes. Downstairs the sitting room is pleasant and cozy, plus there a great big porch (although we had a lot of rain). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious (the vegetable strata was incredible). Innkeepers were lovely, too. I recommend this place very highly.

The weekend we just spent at the Lafayette Inn was just wonderful. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Every room is furnished with beautiful antiques, robes and even nightlights in the bathrooms. The wrap around porch was a great place to just relax.
Paul And Laura, the owners, provided a breakfast that was delicious (the cappuccino was especially great) and wine and cheese in the afternoon.
It is located in a residential neighborhood and we walked all around looking at all the beautiful homes.
We will stay here again.
